Troy Murphy

I think that Troy is a rising star in this league.He is
at almost 17 points a game and around 10 boards a night.
He has a very aggressive style and with some work can
eventually be a all star.Other than Richardson,I enjoy
watching Murphy and Mike Dunleavy play.They are starting
to develop a chemistry and should be a great tandem in
the future.The sky is the limit for both of them once
the ball hog Jason Richardson is gone.He never saw a shot
he didn't like.

I was just checking the latest stats at NBA.com and
Troy Murphy is up the 4th in the league in rebounding.
He is at just a shade under 17 points but with a
amazing 11 rebounds per game.He is very close to taking
over 3rd place.I don't think people realize how good
this kid is.He has so much upside still.I think within
2 years,he will be a consistant 20+ points per night
with 12 rebounds to go with it.He is a future all-star.
The Warriors recently picked up Z.Carkapa from the
Suns.They are becoming a very talented team with alot
of talented whites.Dunleavy gets better all of the time.

I hope Caparkaba gets plenty of playing time. He showed
some promise last year before Danny Fortson broke his arm.
It may be mostly a financial move for Golden State; they've
spent a lot of money recently and probably don't want the
further financial obligation of two future second round picks.
Zarko has, at most, one more year on his contract, so they can
be rid of him soon if they so choose. Golden State has been
criticized for their signings and contract extensions: Murphy,
Dunleavy, Foyle, and Derek Fisher. I hope that Murphy and
Dunleavy continue to develop and prove that they're worth the
money. I'm also a big Chris Mullin fan, and I hope he does well
as an executive.

Chris Mullin is an interesting case. He was a fairly prolific scorer for a few years, and he had a pretty good game for a white guy in the darkest of years for white players (before the European invasion). Mullin could have been "Bird" like in popularity but he lacked that one essential quality: EGO. To be a stud in the NBA you have to be an egomanical ass. Mullin wasn't and therefore couldn't stay at the top as the more aggressive black players took his points away from him and eventually his place as a star. Still, I too wish him luck. Somewhere inside of him he has to still be stinging from all the racial sh*t he must have been given for many years.

Murphy is a monster.He was in foul trouble the and didn't
play much but still pulled down 14 rebounds in 29
minutes of play.That is amazing.He is averageing close
to 12 rebounds a game.This kid is one of the 3 best
rebounders in the nba!Watch at the end of the season.
No one will even take notice,but he might just catch
Shaq for 2nd.Keep up the good work Troy.

cheris mihm has a good game a couple of days ago. i think he fits in well with the lakers. also okur is looking good in recent days. also two college players that are looking good in recent days caner-medley of marland and buckman of texas.

How about head to head with Shaq tonight.Troy Murphy had
22 points, 17 rebounds,and 5 assists.Shaq had 26 points
and only 10 boards. I would have to say that Murphy is
not intimidated by anyone.Like I said,give this kid
another year and look out.He will be a perinial all star!

Troy has been out for around 3 weeks with a broken thumb
until tonight.In his first game back he was a monster.
He only played 27 minutes but pulled down a amazing
20 rebounds.That is almost a rebound a minute.I don't
think there is a better rebounder in the whole NBA.I
would love to see him win the rebounding title.Mike
Dunleavy also had a nice game with 18 points in the
Warriors victory.I just wish they could get rid of
Jason Richardson.He is the biggest ball hog I have ever
seen.He had a game a few weeks ago wher he put up 38 shots attempts.What a selfish player.They need to get
rid of him and they will play alot better.

If I had to build a team and wanted a center,Troy Murphy
would be my guy.He had 19 points and 19 rebounds last
night in another Warriors victory.He has recorded over
20 rebounds several times in his career.He can rebound
and score with any big man in the league and he is only
25!How can you be that dominate on the glass and not
get more p.r. Oh,I forgot,he is white.The Warriors are
going in the right direction.The only players I really
can't stand are ball hogs B.Davis & J.Richardson.If they
would pass more,the Warriors would win more.Check this
team out guys.

Back to back nights and Murphy still had 18 points and
14 rebounds!He is simply one of the top 3 rebounders
in the nba.Another Warriors win.Next season I expect
them to be in the playoffs.

He should definitely be averaging 15 PPG, but in my estimation he isn't "afraid" to shoot. Also, rarely getting to the free throw line hurts his scoring.

Tory Murphy is the White American-version of Dirk Nowitzki (to me). He can do much better if he can just make more of a presence down low. While I admire his ability to reign in 3 point bombs, he needs to mix it a bit more down low. Dirk has been doing that for ages, that's why he averages more than 20 point a game career wise. Murphy can though if he wanted to, he is actually tougher and more rugged in my opinion than Nowitzki.

Indiana lost though 112-100 to Utah. It's been a brilliant and breakout year for Murphy. Looking forward to him next season. I'm very disappointed though in Mike Dunleavy (darn injury bug).

Indiana won 117-99 over Oklahoma. Again, very much out of the playoff race, but a brilliant season for Murphy. He'll be a hot trading commodity in the off-season.
I hope he can go to a team that really knows how to win.

The way Murphy is playing, he reminds me of Dirk in his early years. He is the White American version of Dirk Nowitzki.

Murphy can become a star in the league. At this point he is a borderline star. He is a great rebounder and has a decent post game. I think he is capable of averaging 20 points a game.
