Romo played pretty well actually, but he will be remembered as the goat because of that flubbed hold.Damn it...Holmgren advances! At least we won't have to hear about Owens for a while.
 
Yea, not hearing from or about TO for the next several months is a pretty sweet positive, but I was pulling for Parcells bigtime. That hurt.
 
Romo has lots of time. He'll be very good. Despite his success, Parcells has never had too many white players.

Did anyone notice how shiney and slick the ball looked on that field goal attempt. I was watching it in HD and the ball looked like it was fresh out of the box. It did look slippery.
 
Terry Glenn was every bit as much the "goat" and more for his fumble near the goal line that led to a Seattle safety followed by a touchdown, but only Romo will be blamed.
 
I hope Romo is made of some stern stuff. He might turn out to be the Scott Norwood of quarterbacks after that play.

There were a lot of dropped passes in this game, too. But what do you expect when you're starting receivers are named Engram and Robinson?
 
How can you say Romo played well? He played below average in my opinion, especially considering the Seahawks started a rookie and a converted safety at the corners. A lot of his passes were way too high or way too short. He's the goat for the botched snap, and he certainly deserves it, the snap was perfect... He doesn't seem to have the poise it was once believed he had.
 
I watched the game and thought he played pretty well. Saying he doesn't have poise because he dropped one snap is a bit ridiculous. Making mental mistakes is usually the sign of lacking poise. I did not see him do that.
 
He needs to do a better job securing the ball, but his passing looked decent. If they'd made the FG Seattle would still have needed only an FG to win, and against the Cowboys secondary and non-existant pass rush, they could have done it.
 
The officials in the replay booth didn't hesitate to review the pass to Witten that gave the Cowboys a first down. Why didn't they review Romo's spot and fumble? He looked very close to the first down marker on the scramble after the botched snap. You'd think they'd have reviewed it just to be sure. The coaches can't challenge within the last two minutes. Controversial plays are supposed to be reviewed automatically.
 
He's made mental mistakes the last 5 games. You really think he looked poised the other night? He plays a little too reckless to be a great quarterback, imo.. Not everyone can be Brett Favre.. My poised comment had nothing to do with the botched hold, but instead on how he played during the game. Like I said, no one is taking into account the state of the Seahawks secondary and that Romo failed to exploit it.
 
Speaking of exploiting the Seahawks secondary: Seahawks cornerback Pete Hunter was working as a mortgage broker before he got the call to come back and play in the NFL. The NFL Network post game reported that he had to delay taking his entrance exam for the Border Patrol a second time in order to play for the Seahawks.

So guys like Dustin Fox are barely afforded the opportunity to play in the league, while a guy like Hunter gets the call to play while sitting at home on his couch? wtf?

And you're right, the Cowboys didn't seem to want to take advantage of a guy who just started playing again on January 1st. I expected them to try and isolate Hunter on Glenn or Owens, but they didn't throw his way very much at all, as I recall. Hunter is a former Cowboy as well. You'd think they might have known some of Hunter's tendencies, since he played for the Cowboys before the cut him.

To his credit, the Yahoo writer does a great job of defending Romo point-by-point. Romo has always been vilified and pummeled by the media to the point that virtually all DWFs will agree with this fat buffoon. If he was instead Barkevious Romo, and threw for almost 5,000 yards, he would be hailed as one of the greatest ever.

That pretty much sums it up right there. Just another irrational, spoiled, jealous negro with the temperament of a child. See, in realty, it is Johnson who should return every unearned dollar his NFL career provided him. Of course I'm speaking hypothetically as this numbskull has surely blown it all on drugs, alcohol, endless amounts of food, strippers, hookers, handouts to his "homies", jewelry, tattoos, rims and other essentials of the black community.
 
This preseason game (next to last one) is usually the only one worth considering since most first stringers play more than one drive. I think the O-line Romo has this year is improved and the 1st round C Travis Frederick looks like a real good one for years to come. CFers take note and lets see how he does and can help protect the talented yet sometimes quirky Romo.
 
The story of the day on ESPN is that if the Cowboys win against the Packers, the Cowboys are Daks team. Apparently he's won over the majority negro locker room, whatever no respect for Romo. If Dallas screws over Romo like that I hope he goes on to star elsewhere!
