Americans are trained to think that so-called "hispanics"and Mexicans are a separate, distinct race when they are not. Many Mexicans are of entirely white, European background, especially those in the higher economic strata. Many others are mixed white and Indian; very few have any Negro blood. Romo is Mexican on his father's side but he looks Midwestern white bread. Garcia is 1/16 Mexican as I recall. I'm not sure about Losman but he certainly "passes" for European.

Our general test has been what they look and act like, and what they consider themselves to be, not what the media claims them to be. After all the media considers anyone with even the slightest trace of black ancestry to be a full-blooded Negro, ala Tiger Woods, Grady Sizemore and many more.Edited by: Don Wassall

Hispanics are considered a separate race by most people, except in the criminal justice system of course where they are recorded as 'white' when they commit crimes, and as 'Hispanic' when they are the victims of it.

Losman looks exactly like a roommate I had; Peruvian father, white mother. The kids ended up looking like Losman to looking black Irish, but all were unmistakably 'white looking'.

Yep that is the truth of it. White for the purposes of criminality and Hispanic for the purposes of victim identity. Garcia is definitely the whitest of the bunch. He is for all intensive purposes a white of mostly European stock. He has red hair and blue eyes It is even likely that whatever Mexican blood he has is also heavily Spaniard instead of Mestizo. Romo is half mestizo/ half white. He is a Castizo and you can see it in his facial features. I have never heard JP Losman being desribed as Hispanic, always a Jew. If he is classified as a hispanic, he is mostly likely really a Marano.

I am also 1/2 Latino (my Mom was born and reared in Costa Rican to 7-8 generation Spainards in Costa Rica). I legally consider myself Hispanic and consider myself white in terms of athletic identification. Meaning that I count the number of "white brothers" every time I watch an athletic contest on TV and pull for the team with the most (the tiebreaker of course is the coach....). I believe that Romo, Garcia and JP are in fact "white brothers", and totally count on OUR side. Just because you are hispanic does not mean that you are dark skinned and speak with a heavy accent. Many of us are descendants of Spain and are as white in color as folks from Ireland or Eastern Europe. I also count guys like Casitllo from the Chargers as one of us as well!

I thought alot about this thread before posting. Hispanics is term used by our country to group all peoples from countries like Spain to Cuba. You could look like Jeff Garcia or Manny Ramirez and be considered Hispanic. There are Cubans who look like Eddie Murphy

and some misguided people would label them hispanic becuase they came from Cuba. I say they are black or Cuban Africans. The media in this country is so f..ked. You would never hear them label a black Cuban a African Cuban. But in American it is ok/perferred to call blacks African Americans, what bull...t. I heard that dummy Jesse Jackson started this nonsense.

Mexicans, Costa Ricans or Columbians are nationalities. Most repectable Mexicans reject being called Hispanic. I am 1/4 mestizo from Mexico. I look like Jeff Garcia. I consider myself American with Anglo/Mexican ancestery. I watch each NFL game like Rajuncajun and pull for those teams who are close to half white.

Sadly, alot of "hispanics" are becoming this generation's blacks. "I am a victim, I need a handout, I am entitled to health care."

It's difficult to educate people about this. The trend seems to be the other way, with more and more people referring to Spaniards straight from Europe as "hispanics." Americans are so conditioned to thinking of anyone with the slightest trace of Negro blood as "black" that it's easy to get them tobelieve that anyonefrom south of the U.S. is part of the same race no matter how divergent they are in looks.

It is true that Whites with Hispanic surnames are treated as minorities when they achieve something laudable but as white if they commit some kind of negative offense.

Example: A White man with a Hispanic surname throws for a lot of touchdowns, he's Hispanic.

A White man with a Hispanic surname guns down a bunch of Black women in a church -- he's White.

If you go to Spain the people there usually consider it a high insult to insinuate that they are synonymous with Mexicans or Cubans.

Oddly enough, genetic testing indicates that Spaniards are most closely related to the Welsh, Scottish, and Irish. They are as White as anybody.

It is part of the divide-and-conquer strategy against Whites. We should resist the urge to go along with it.
