That's extremely expensive for a jersey. I have a Favre, Shockey, and Chrebet jersey and I paid around 60 bucks for each.

authentic jerseys are always over 200 bucks, i paid something like 232 for my Alstott jersey, and that was a good few years ago! replicas are pretty cheap.

NFL jersey are authentic jerseys that players actually wear. I think the cheapest I have ever seen one is about 100 dollars when a player gets traded or becomes a Jamarcus. As for replicas many are illegal knock offs that have been mass manufactured by organized crime groups. In Toronto the police have done raids on many sports wear stores selling the cheaper knock offs. Edited by: white is right

No, they have cheaper version of jerseys, so called replicas, numbers and names are pressed on, mot sawn on, and the material is just normal mesh not the actual real resistent stuff. These ones can cost about 50-80 bucks and they are officially endorsed by NFL and made by reebok.

Yes I remember tv stations doing a comparison of knock offs and the replicas. The difference boiled down to the decal on the tags. The authentic ones had a similar shine to them that Upper deck baseball cards had. I don't recall the pro style jerseys having much of a counterfeit problem due to the manufacturing costs to them. Yes I agree. Their opinions are mostly worthless though I do find some good information on players on that site.

And BTW, if I were going to pick players to compare Gerhart to I'd say: Marion Barber, Corey Dillon, a taller Michael Turner, Brandon Jacobs with a little more swivel and burst, slightly faster Peyton Hillis with slightly more swivel, a faster Shonn Greene (with similar X-Z agility, quickness, burst, power and instincts/a little more X-Y agility), a slightly slower Steven Jackson. These are all very good players!

I don't really see the "poor man's" Adrian Peterson comparison except that both of them run a little high upon getting the hand-off behind the line of scrimmage. Gerhart is more of a cutback X-Y Powerback with good swivel FOR HIS SIZE AND STYLE, where Peterson is a blend of a large scatback and powerback. Peterson is clearly faster, he's a little quicker than Gerhart, has a bit more swivel and therefore is better at making something out of nothing, but isn't quite as powerful and isn't as instinctive as to basically never lose yards or fumble.

Gerhart is an absolute first down machine!
