I'm suprised no one has started a thread for Tebow yet. I figured I would get the ball rolling with preseason approaching within a little bit over a month from now. We all know that at the moment they have him listed as the 3rd string qb. What are his chances of moving up to 2nd after Tom Brady? I would say 50/50 at the least due to him being a multi purpose double threat qb. This still really seems like a good place for him to wind up if he couldn't be a starter somewhere as he can learn more from Brady than he has in his entire career up till now. Think of Aaron Rogers and how he had to be patient waiting for Brett Favre to finish up his career. My point is that this can be a great situation for Timmy to just sit and learn. There is also a chance that Brady could get hurt as he is in his mid thirties. On top of that, the Pats blow alot of people out which could also give Tebow more chances to see the field as a qb. It should be an exciting year. Let's go Pats! Let's go Tebow!

I know that this may be controversial, but, something to consider. With the injury to Gronk and recent development with Hernandez, would it be wrong for us to pull for Tebow to be the STARTER at TE so that it remains a white position vs. picking up a black TE. Brady is a solid 1 and Mallett is capable back up so this would solidify his place on the roster and provide him the opportunity to be a starter. BB has proven in the past to allow guys to play different positions so TT could still be the emergency QB. I know that he has ALL of the tools to be a QB in the league, but at this point in his short NFL time, I would like to see him on the field vs. holding a clipboard!

While I see your point, Josh McDaniels is the offensive coordinator of the Patriots and he is a huge believe/supporter of Tebow and he knows that Tebow was born to play qb. I doubt he would move him to tightend but I do see them using Tim occasionally as a receiver, half back, fullback, and an option qb. The red zone would be a whole lot more interesting to sit Brady sometimes and let Tebow bring it home from inside the 20 yard line.

I love Tom Brady but he will be 36 when the season starts in a couple of months from now. He is playing on borrowed time. Eventually Tebows time will come and I hope he grabs it by the horns and runs with it to shut up all the stupid moron racists and anti christian people out there.

One thing that is markedly different this year as opposed to last is the way that the Patriots do not feed the media circus when it comes to Tebow. Last year with the Jets was ridiculous, but so far this year there is hardly a peep coming from the media or the Patriots in regards to Tebow, and when there is, it's usually good news. Take a look at this latest:

Tebow does log minutes during each practice catching passes with the skill-position players, though offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels told the paper Monday that Tebow does that because, as a scrambling quarterback, he'll have chances to carry the ball.

"He's just practicing his open-field running," McDaniels said. "Matt Cassel and (Doug) Flutie and some of those other guys I've had a chance to coach, I think we did the same types of things with them. And again we know Tim has a skill set that some of these other guys don't possess in terms of his ability to run with it, scramble with it when he has it in his hands."

For his part, Belichick barely shed any light on the subject. "I think that we'll use Tim wherever we feel like he's best for the team, and I know that's what he's committed to doing as well," Belichick told reporters last week. "Whatever that is."

Tebow's with the best possible organization. Belichick keeps the media circus at arm's length and they grudgingly respect that. I've watched a little of the NFL Network's training camp coverage and every time there's a shot of the Patriots and Tebow can be seen, Rich Eisen and the rest of the clowns begin chanting "Tebow, Tebow," among other juvenile reactions, the same a-holes that have worked so hard to create the myth that Tim can't play quarterback in the NFL.

Maybe the media story that was going around a few months ago that Belichick "hates" Tebow is the reason they picked him up.

That, combined with Josh McDaniels constant lobbying to pick him up. Funny that the guy we've always labeled as Josh McWigger (for good reason) is resuscitating Tebow's career.

It will be amazing irony if Josh McWigger is the guy who finally puts in a package of plays that can showcase Tebow properly. I don't believe that Tebow is ever going to be anything above an average passer, if that. BUT, he is a devastating runner who can still burn a defense through the air. New England is almost always in the shotgun anyway, so the blocking schemes for a Tebow running package shouldn't be very different from what they do in their usual rushing attack. There's just one less defender in the box. They should be able to get production from Tebow without taking anything away from Brady's arm. If we see the "wildcat" in preseason, we will know that Tebow is being set up to fail. That gimmick is done.

This video popped up in my recommended and I was reminded of the time when Tebow took football by storm. It's a real shame that this great player was blackballed from the league after winning a playoff game and never given another chance to start. Meanwhile the league is filled with some truly mediocre passers these days but because of their magical "upside" they get what seems to be an endless amount of chances.
