That would be an interesting development--especially after all of the propaganda in favor of Tiger as "handsome", a "perfect gentleman" with a "perfect smile", "articulate", etc.

Why are you guys so hard on Tiger? I can understand that you are tired of the constant media worship he receives, but he is by all accounts a decent guy.

I do not "root" for Woods because the media portrays him asa saint. Any misfortune that comes Tigers way, is music to my ears.

You might ask yourself why has Woods received more media attention than Jack Nicklaus ever did? Could this be due to a "black privilege" that the media gives minority athletes? If this is at all possible, why should we not rejoice in the misfortune of the privileged?

All accounts?

On the other hand, isn't that kind of the point? Who would deign to write an article critical of the King?

That's a good point, White Shogun. I don't think people realize that a media
figure like Woods is a protected entity because he is paid so much for
product endorsements. The same corporations that pay him so much for
product endorsements are also the ones who lean on the press to keep his
name in the headlines and run positive stories ad nauseum. This is how the
press works--it sells advertising, and the advertisers influence who and
what is covered, like any client/contractor relationship. It is tragically naive
to think otherwise.

Rory Sabbatini had the stage and situation he wanted at the Bridgestone.

What got to him?
Tiger walking out in that red and black?
The huge crowd?

Rory and his people had time to mentally prepare for what was about to happen, but he still succumbed to the pressure of the moment.

What pressure did Tiger have?
He knows that every player out there is trying to get him and the ones that do will have untold riches. (Johnson, Cabrera, Harrington)

The huge crowd?

The death threats he still gets on tour? (After all these years).

That's exactly the point, michiganblkman. When Tiger fades in the final
days, gets ouplyaed in the final round, etc., no mention of "succumbing to
pressure", just a bad day. Rory had a bad day. The fact that all the press
coverage is about him "succumbing to the pressure of Tiger" just proves the
point. What major media outlet made excuses for Sabbatini like they make
for Tiger and Wie? None.

Yes Pitbull that's all true but Sabatini got faced. He talked trash then had a chance to back it up and Tiger whupped him. Plain and simple. Worse thing of all is that Tiger has some confidence going into the final major and all the white golfers got a reminder of how to fold in the clutch. I think it was Justin Rose who said, "we're all playing for second place now" and when you think like that---you are.

Lets just hope that Rory can get another shot at him.
See if he can finally back up his talking game.

I know I've broached this subject before, but here goes again. I can't explain how it is possible, but somehow these tournaments are rigged for Woods. Once Sabbatini really spoke out about Woods, you knew that he was going to be defeated. Period. It simply is not possible for any white man to criticize one of the most beloved figures in the history of Don King's America and come out ahead. Can you even picture a triumphant white guy and a sulking black celebrity like Woods, in that kind of situation? Much the same as no celebrated black can ever lose under our injustice system, none of the very rare outspoken white public figures, who dare to oppose someone with the status of a Woods, can ever back his words up. I don't know, maybe they just do become nervous and intimidated, and thus lose to their black opponent. If so, it appears that everyone of them react that way, every time. I tend to believe in conspiracies, so I prefer the "fixed" explanation. Either way, one thing is absolutely certain; until and unless Sabbatini makes some sort of public apology to Woods and starts worshiping him with the same fervor all the other players do, then he will never, ever, in a million years, win a major tournament. In fact, I think it's highly likely that he will now simply disappear off the golf map, never to be heard from again. Just imagine how much it would have bolstered the confidence of untold numbers of white youths, if only he had won.

See the first quote. He can't explain, he just believes it is possible.

Over the years, we've seen Eldrick get tons of favorable rulings by officials. Just last month.

Tiger Gets Favorable Ruling from R&A
By Associated Press - July 19, 2007

CARNOUSTIE, Scotland -- As if Tiger Woods doesn't have enough talent, a British Open rules official helped him along Thursday.

Woods, who opened with a 2-under 69 at Carnoustie, pulled his tee shot into deep rough left of the 10th fairway, and the ball settled on a strand of television cables.

The official for the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, Alan Holmes, gave him relief within one club length. That enabled Woods to take a free drop in trampled grass, allowing him to hit a long iron just short of the green. From there, he hit a nifty pitch over the edge of a pot bunker and holed an 8-foot putt to save par.

"That was a weird drop," Woods said. "I was probably as surprised as anybody."

Stranger still was the explanation from Holmes. He was asked why Woods was given relief and said the ball was on TV cables. When someone suggested the cables are supposed to be moved, Holmes replied, "They're fixed."

But they weren't.

Mark Roe, a former European Tour player now working for the BBC, went over to the cables and moved them 3 feet. Roe later approached the officials and said he gave Woods the wrong ruling.

"I most certainly did not," Holmes said.

It was a significant break, as Woods had 167 yards to clear the burn and 199 yards to the green. From his original lie, he probably could not have hit anywhere near the green, and might have had to play short of the burn.

"I didn't ask for it," Woods said. "The guy just said I could."

I have been trying to watch the PGA, but now that the chosen one has burst into the lead, it's all over. Period. They couldn't go one year without their favorite figure winning a major. I've been watching it on and off, but it seems like every time I switch it on, Woods is rolling in a long putt and pumping his arrogant fist in the air. Turner- as I said, I can't figure out how these things could be fixed, but it's just too pat and convenient that the "athlete" they love above all others always comes through for them, and every white opponent always wilts in his presence. I'll believe these events are legitimate when some neo-nazi golfer, tennis player or NFL QB comes out of the closet, starts making some really "controversial" statements, yet still comes out on top, as his non-neo-nazi opponents hang their heads in defeat. Think that will ever happen? Well, why not? The law of averages would indicate that, sooner or later, someone with beliefs similar to those expressed so often on this forum would have the natural talent to excel at some professional sport. No, I can't explain how it could be possible, I just know that you will never see Tiger Woods humbled in defeat, when he is going head-to-head with any white opponent. I predicted last year, after Phil Mickelson's inexplicable meltdown at the U.S. Open, that his career was effectively over. I think that prediction is looking pretty good right now. I don't pretend to understand how such a thing would be arranged, but I do know that if Mickelson had held on and won the U.S. Open, as it seemed certain he would, then that would have given him three straight major wins, and Woods would have been toppled from his throne. Instead, Mickelson manages to do the impossible, and blow the victory, and Woods rallies and wins the next two majors. Mickelson now can barely make the cut at majors, and has not contended in any since his blowup. If it's not all fixed, then things just tend to always work out the way our corrupt culture destroyers want them to. Whether it's the NFL or the PGA tour, I think that these things are not due to coincidence. Edited by: bigunreal

I couldn't have said it better. Yeah Tiger gets the rulings but no one has really challenged him for a decade. I wonder if any golfer thinks that they can beat Tiger. The guy is a good golfer and I cannot take that away from him. But sooner or later someone should have stepped up to be his rival. Just yesterday Tiger came out of the middle of the pack to take the lead and all but win the tournament barring someone stepping up. How did it happen? When Tiger is on, he is on. There is no way around that. But the main problem I have is that people just wimper and fall apart like a cheap suit when they see him charging. Hopefully someone will step up.

Guys have stepped up in the past. But the problem is they have been playing way above their game to beat Woods. As sainted as Woods is on ESPN, they have shown some warts of his, his pettyness, cheapness and he likes to do gambling junkets. Granted by todays athletes standards he is a "saint", but I have noticed these imperfections. I just don't care for golf and the pushing of the sport as a real athletic endevour.

He dumped Fluff because he was taking too much spotlight away from himself, he forever pursues the dollar and I have heard he likes to play table games not like Daley or probably Hefty(did), but he does occasionally go to casinos.

I never knew that about Fluff. I just read on Yahoo Answers that the celebrity thing was a big issue. It also mentions that they would argue openly during tournaments on club selection.

Is Fluff more popular now that he is with Jim Furyk?

Thats a heck of a resume to have for a caddie. Leading two different players to major championships.

A golfer promoting a sports drink is absurd.
