I didn't post this last week as I was having problems logging into the website. The sad last days of Casey is a reminder of what can happen to you when your guardians don't have your best interests in their hearts, but are looking to fight over your estate. It's reported that Casem had a net worth of 80 million US off of his syndicated radio show. Anyway here is a news story and a Kasem blooper reel....:scared:http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/TV+Shows/The+National/ID/2465170114/?page=4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seCkv_aqSF8

Its unreal how the gold digger wife thought she would control Kasem in the last days of his life and then appropriate his wealth, without due consideration for his blood off spring. Unreal how money will corrupt people. I hope Kasem had a will and trust with everyone getting a fair share. Over 2 years ago when my mom died she left an estate. A brother, who was/is worthless thought he could petition the trust to enlarge his share. Yeah, that cost me 1000s in attorney fees and court costs, but in the end he lost. Nothing but bad feelings and estrangement.

I never really got into Kasem but his wife was the one who played Nick Tortelli's girlfriend on " Cheers ". I am a huge Cheers fan and I guess back in the day most of the cast thought she was a bitch on the set. Just my 2 cents.

Filthy lucre will cause blood kin to turn on each other & bring out the worst in each other. I've witness that with some cousins (after their Momma died....RIP) & my wife's family. :-(

This is so true. The deceased is barely cold, and heirs and legatees get busy trying to appropriate the dearly departed's property. Even when a will is uncontested or a state's laws leave no doubt as to whom is entitled to what, items (photos, guns, appliances, etc) "disappear."

People will tear one another to bits over relatively small estates. Equal shares bring out resentment over who "did more for" the deceased. Unequal shares foster resentment over who supposedly manipulated the deceased.

The sincere emotion over the loss of a loved one is among the most authentic expressions we make in this brainwashed, self-censored, over-civilized society. The cold drive to possess that loved one's property seems itself something primal and perhaps instinctive.

According to Kasem's children his body has gone missing and nobody on his arab side of the family knows where he is. The soap opera continues, wait till the will is read.......http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity...ssing-his-daughter-kerri-kasem-claims-2014197
