My son was watching that annoying "Mike and Mike" show on ESPN this
morning, and I caught a bit of their lame, anti-white take on the
Rocker issue. When Rocker said recently that he'd been through more
than any baseball player ever has, or something like that, he really
raised those pro- black feathers in the media. That obnoxious "Greenie"
went nuts, and it took him about five seconds to bring up the hallowed
name of Jackie Robinson, with Hank Aaron thrown in for good measure.
These lame, wanna-be comedians are despicable, and so very predictable.
Curiously, during the same broadcast, the subject of Steve Nash winning
the MVP came up. "Greenie" is quickly trying to win the award for most

Here are the comments that Rocker has been made an absolute pariah for. I do not see one racist comment in here. Not one. he criticizes foreigners, but that is not race, he could just as easily be talking about people from Yugoslavia.
On ever playing for a New York team: "I would retire first. It's the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the [Number] 7 train to the ballpark, looking like you're [riding through] Beirut next to some kid with purple hair next to some queer with AIDS right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It's depressing."
On New York City itself: "The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. I'm not a very big fan of foreigners. How can we get Mr. Rocker to join the ANU? I'd love to have him on board. In fact we should extend a welcome and a helping hand to all white pro athletes who have been bamboozled by media maggots. The U. Arkansas QB who was screwed by the NFL, can we get him to join?

"Rocker reportedly claimed that in the last six years he has suffered more abuse than Hank Aaron or Jackie Robinson. Please. What, was he turned away from a lunch counter because they refused to serve idiots? When he pitches for the Long Island Ducks, Rocker wears plugs in his ears so he cannot hear the crowd. That's sad. This whole story could have been prevented if only we had been wearing those things."
Note how his frame of reference is purely from an anti-whitepoint of view, namely that it's impossible to suffer if you're white. And then theclaim that "this whole story could have been prevented" if people had tuned Rocker out. Rocker was set up by an SI reporter, who basically lured him into saying a few "politically incorrect" things. For doing so, Rocker was shoved down America's throat as an example of evil and hisreputation was instantly and permanently ruined and he has been subjected to vicious taunts and who knows what else for the past six years now. Did Aaron and Robinson ever face even a tiny fraction of the fan harassment that Rocker has? They lived through Jim Crow, but Rocker was set up and then smeared non-stop for representing a despised type of white -- a Southern white man who doesn't bow to the System or recite the proper lies on cue.

No doubt Robinson went through abuse, but to belittle Rocker for what he said is crazy. I'm glad he has the guts to say what he thinks. That's more than you can say of most people these days.
When Atlanta traded John Rocker to Cleveland he was embraced by the city. He had almost what you could call a cult following. Everybody liked the guy and no one really seemed to care about his SI remarks because he spoke the truth and was being candid. Everytbody always cheered the loudest when he came sprinting out of the bullpen.
