In the 90s and 2000s they could proudly call themselves neocons and openly declare their intentions with the support of the people. Now those old neocons are retiring and they’re being replaced by people who realize you can’t call yourself a neocon anymore and you can’t openly talk about your neoconservative foreign policy. But they’ve realized that Americans, especially the politically active ones, are retards, so all you have to do is say you’re not a neocon and that you don’t support foreign wars and intervention but you can still do all of those things anyway because you said you were against them and nobody will call you out for it. Trump makes a big show about removing 50 whole troops from Syria, while over 1000 still remain, and in the same week he sends over 2000 troops to Saudi Arabia. All he has to do is tweet about being against war, and then he has carte blanche to take any pro war actions he wants without any backlash.

Good points Bruce. I concur. The (((Special Interest Groups))) that control the foreign policy choices and pretty much know that no one is the wiser, since most of the American voting populace has the insight and forethought of dead fish floating downstream.

If you look at who the neocons are their actions are not surprising at all nor is their support for Middle East war (by the us forces neither they nor their kids serve I ).

Most of them are from the left and in reality they never had the road to Damascus conversion they seem to portray.

Exactly. The neocon thing was started in the 60s by (((David Horowitz))) and other communists who realized that communism just wasn't very profitable, so they created a new ideology that was economically capitalist but culturally communist, so they could continue their Long March through the Institutions and make money at the same time. The "ah wuz uh former campus radical who saw da light and became a conservative" story is total BS, but a lot of the "we wuv Bush/Romney/Lindsey Graham" types are still fool enough to buy it.

Yeah and now that Bush and Obama can publicly hang out together it just goes to show how little difference there is between Conservative Inc. and the left.
