I have no idea where to post this but I have been dying to ask this question for a very long time but just keep forgetting to.
I like the Godfather very much but there is such a glaring omission in it I cannot why see these so called " movie critics " call it one of the best movies ever made.
When Michael Corleone is hiding out in Sicily after he shoots McCluskey ( the cop ) and Virgil Solazzo; how is it that he comes back and does not face some kind of trial especially when Vito Corleone ( Brando ) calls a meeting of the heads of the 5 NY families and even mentions he has to get his son home and clear his name. This isin't even covered in a nanosecond. Just asking. It is not even implied anywhere in the movie.
