There was really no controversy about that. Lewis deliberately sliced open Vitali's face with his glove laces and steel wool hair. He should have been disqualified.

I haven't seen the film yet.

That's my point an inadvertent foul caused the cut. The cut should have been ruled similar to a clash of heads and the fight should have gone to the score cards and Vitali would have won and a rematch ordered within 6 months. I still feel like Lewis would have ducked out of the rematch.

It wasn't inadvertant. Check it out - Round three, 9:02+ in the tape. Lewis rubs his head hard into Vitali's face, and right after that Vitali's face is all red on the left side. And again on 0:35 of the second tape in round 3 Lewis rubs his head on the left side of V's face, and after that Vitali's face is badly cut - not from any punches but from Lewis' head!

Vitali Klitschko Election Results

According to exit polls, the “PUNCHâ€￾ party founded by reigning WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko won approximately 12-15% of the seats in Sunday’s Ukrainian elections, placing third overall. “We must still analyze everything: why we could have won more votes but failed to do so,â€￾ Klitschko told AFP. The champion will continue to head the party in the Ukraine Parliament and work to establish a coalition with other opposition parties. As far as whether he will fight again anytime soon, that remains to be seen.



Vitali, along with Wlad, is the greatest heavyweight of all time, but I don't particularly care for his politics.
