I hope T.O. continues to run his mouth.The media,fans,teammates,coaches and even the owners are getting a little bit tired of his act.I wish that Owens,Moss,K.Johnson and others would just get kicked out of the league.They are like a bunch of spoiled retarded little kids that have no manners,or ethics.They don't appreciate the opportunity they have that others would kill for.Some people just never mature.I won't miss any of them.lol.

Ironicly enough I actually agree with what Owens said, but in the middle of a season common sense and decorum dictates that one shouldn't say such things publicly (wait until the season is over and write a tell all book!) Hopefully this suspension will teach him a lesson not just about this incident but also about the cumulative total of everything detestable he has done in the NFL.
And I am well acquainted with Owens antics since I lived down in San Francisco for a number of years during the time that he played there.

In case you haven't heard, Owens actually got into a fist fight with Hugh Doughlas in the Eagle's training room. After the two were separated, Owens went into the locker room and challenged everybody else to a fight, asking if anyone else wanted some of him. No one accepted, he said "Thats what I thought," and walked out.

Not so fast, Batman. Owens issued a 'tearful' apology yesterday, to the owner, organization, team, and McNabb, specifically. His goal, he said, is to help the Eagles win a championship, and to that end hopes to be back on field with the Eagles as soon as Monday night against the Cowboys.
So far, the Eagles seem less than enthused but you never know. If the grievance Owens filed with NFLPA doesn't go well, or if they continue to stink it up on the field, the Eagles might relent and let this idiot back in the locker room.

him and others like him. The reason for this is clear; he crticized a
beloved black athlete (albeit in an offhanded, indirect way). That's
why none of the usual suspects who defend black behavior, no matter how

who was probably on crack when he made his comments). I have to agree
with his agent, who told the media that many other players have
commited crimes, abused drugs, etc., and not been punished for it. He
was absolutely right, and we ought to mull over why a probable murderer
like Ray Lewis, for instance, was welcomed back to the same team with
open arms and lavish praise from the media, while this particular black
idiot is now unwelcome anywhere (at least for now, they can't resist
bringing someone like him back, if for no other reason than to devote

This is exactly right, BigUn. Mr. Wonderful pointed out on this thread earlier that nobody cared when T.O. said Garcia was gay.
More than anything, it was dissing McNabb by saying specifically that a WHITE QUARTERBACK, even one as famous as Favre, is better than McNabb, that was T.O.'s death sentence on the Eagles. A black man telling another black man that a white dude is a better athlete than he, is practically the same as insulting his mother. Truly disrespectful! If the Eagles don't backtrack and forgive Owens for his transgressions, what is likely to happen after his suspension?Would a potentially play off bound team be interersted in him... such as Atlanta? Culpepper and McNabb didn't look so ordinary with Moss and Owens on the field to disrupt defenses. Don't think Arthur Blank isn't aware of that. The NFL would love nothing more than to see Vick take his team all the way.

I had heard that Owen's had mentioned a trade to Atlanta, but was shot down by Mora. Can you imagine, if T.O. will rip McNabb for not getting him the ball enough, for overthrows and underthrows, how long it would take him to get pissed off at Mike Vick?? They'd be at it after the first game!!

Jesse Jackson and Ralph Nader (wtf?) have both declared that Owen's suspension is too long and unwarranted for the type of offense committed.
Jackson says that this type of suspension, one year, would be fitting if Owens had been caught shaving points, selling drugs, carrying a gun or fighting fans without sufficient restraint.
I dunno about you, but shaving points and selling drugs would warrant a LIFETIME BAN. No surprise though that the Reverend Jackson doesn't feel that way. He's all about getting as much for the brothers as he can, as long he can get something from it for himself.
But what is Ralph Nader doing, getting involved in this? Is he getting ready to run for the presidency again? Just goes to show you how far out of step both these guys are with the American public, whom polls show are in favor of Owens' suspension.
