Anti-immigration party expected to out-poll all other parties in Swiss election!

Rightists seen winning biggest share in Swiss vote

According to the last opinion poll conducted before the election, the People's Party are expected to win 27.3 percent of the vote, a slight increase over 2003 when they raced to the top of the polls amid accusations of xenophobia.

The SVP has again run a controversial campaign calling for the extradition of foreigners who commit serious crimes. It has been criticised by opponents and has ruffled the usually smooth waters of Switzerland's consensus-based politics.

Opposition to the SVP's campaign, which used posters calling for the "black sheep" of Swiss society to be booted out, spilled over into a rare outburst of violence on the streets of Berne earlier this month when police and left-wing activists clashed.

I've been watching this. Our media have been wetting themselves over this for awhile now. Any desire for self-determination by white people is deemed inherently bad and must be snuffed out.

Looks like the Swiss have had enough though. Good for them. Although it is disturbing that so many of them still vote for the other parties. What are they thinking?

I wish them success. Speaking of which I read somewhere that they were attacked by communist, and socialist at a recent demonstration. It always amazes me that the left wing commie pigs always campaign for free speach when it comes to topics that serve their agenda while employing every tactic including violence to suppress speach that they do not agree with.Edited by: aussieaussie31
