I think by adding one or two whites would be a starting point and be reasonable. NE Defense will have a different cast of characters.

I agree. BB's coal black crap defenses have to be by design. It's the only way to make things "fair" for the other teams. Could you imagine the dominance if the Pat's defense were as White as the offense? I think the hammer would come down on BB so hard that even he wouldn't be able to handle it

I'd like the Pat's to get a Kuechly or Sean Lee type of MLB to eat up some tackles. They were atrocious against the run and in the open field. They need someone that tackles.
After the game a few people at the party i was at started with the Brady criticism about how he should have retired last year and how he is done as a player. I pointed out how well he played but haters gonna hate. Expect the same from the media.

No, they didn't throw for this many yards. The 1978 rule changes opened it up for the passing game.
The Patriots have generally had one or two Whites who played a lot on defense. Rob Ninkovich was a very solid starter for a number of years before retiring after the '16 season. Shea McClellan had a chance to start the past two years but couldn't stay healthy. Cassius Marsh was on the team for a while this season. This is the first all-black defense I can recall during Belichick's reign. So expect possibly one, maybe two White starters next season, but anything more than that is highly unlikely.
What New England doesn't do is draft and develop White talent on either side of the ball other than o-linemen and a TE like Gronk. They pick up their White receivers and someone like Rex on the cheap rather than draft them. Edelman, a college QB, was a late draft pick, but just as easily could have ended up being a safety or just a WSTD like Nate Ebner. As it was Edelman had to serve a four-year racial apprenticeship before becoming a starting WR in his fifth season.

As great as Belichick is and how good he has been to some of our guys, he does sometimes outthink himself with curious and questionable decisions. Butler should have played or at least be given a chance, and if he's ineffective then remove him.
Belichick did this in 2010 also if I remember correctly. Wes Welker cracked a few jokes about Rex Ryan's foot fetish leading up to the divisional round game, he was punished by being benched for the first quarter, the Pats offense simply didn't look right without him, they fell behind and lost the game.
Either way, unless they retool this defense, I wonder how much longer Brady and the offense can keep carrying that team.

Normal recovery time from an ACL tear is about 9-12 months, but most players have said they are 100% healthy with the injury fully behind them by year 2 after the initial injury.
So Wentz may not quite be ready by training camp, he did get hurt late in 2017. If Foles goes in as the starter in 2018 and plays well, what do you do when Wentz is finally ready? This is a difficult decision for Philly.

I dare say I have been Foles biggest fan. Never ever have I doubted him and was so pissed when Chip Kelly traded him.

There is no way I would keep Foles on the Bench. It will become a major issue as soon Wentz is ready to come back.
I think the Eagles could get a great draft pick for him, it would work out best for everyone. How many scrubs are out there playing now?
What a story, Nick Foles has been crapped on and traded ,while the league sticks to drafting the next great black quarterback that never seems to pan out. He literally was going to retire because of all this.
SO now here he is, sticks around one more year and ends up coming off the bench, winning all the way through the playoffs, then becomes the Superbowl MVP beating the greatest Quarterback/Coach/Franchise of all time in the process.
What other story could ever top it?

I'm glad the Eagles won and I'm glad to see a guy like Nick Foles who was virtually left on the side of the road for dead redeem himself in a major way. I know a lot of you guys were rooting for the Patriots but this Super Bowl had a very good outcome for all of our guys involved. It's not like the Patriots got beat by the dreaded Seahawks, Bills, or Raiders. A lot of people are still wearing their Patriot rose colored glasses but the reality is, the team has gotten significantly darker at least this year. Bill Belichick even drafted a black quarterback a few years ago. I hope he retires soon and doesn't stick around too long like Shula did and go full caste.
Nick Foles' career has been a great story. From the highs of his 27 TDs to 2 INTs season to his injury struggles and backing up in Kansas City to Super Bowl MVP. I'd be fairly sure he'll get traded somewhere and start there in 2018, they could get something very nice for him but there's no question that this should be Wentz's team unless his ACL is really bad. Very happy for Nick and hopefully he continues to succeed in Denver/New York/Arizona/Jacksonville/Cleveland/Buffalo/Miami/Minnesota (I think that's all the teams linked with quarterbacks!). His two-game stretch in the NFCCG and SB have been almost perfect.
Brady is nowhere near done though. Admittedly he did get a bit lucky to be MVP with Rodgers and Wentz getting hurt, but he'll still be a great, or at the very least above average, QB for the next few years, it's just on him to determine when he wants to hang things up.
The three white 100-yard receivers for the pats in the SB was great, obviously helped by Cooks getting hurt but they all played very well and hopefully still play well as a foursome when Edelman comes back. Burkhead wasn't nearly used enough, as MrPoon says, and that really cost them - he was damaging every time he got the ball. It seemed like he had three runs in a row at one point (final rushing 3-18) and that 46 yard catch but wasn't even on the field the rest of the game. White and Lewis are also solid running backs but they should have given Burkhead much more reps as he produced everytime it seems he got on the field.

Foles, Brady, and their offenses were great, but the defenses really were bad - hence why the two teams passed for 874 total yards and ran for another 277, neither could stop anything until that penultimate Patriots drive where Brady was strip sacked. Run defense, pass rush, pass defense...neither team had any of it. Disgusting display. Both offensive lines were really good though - the eagles definitely confirmed themselves as an elite OL if not the best with Johnson, Kelce and Brooks continuing to show why there're considered elite and Wisniewski playing well also - and we have to remember this eagles OL has been playing without longtime starting LT Jason Peters as well. The Pats OL was very good for most of the game, allowing little pressure to the highly touted eagles DL apart from that one strip sack (which was the only sack of the game).
Here's hoping the Patriots can return to the Super Bowl next season and face the Vikings or Packers.

No win for the Patriots, but no win for the black race and no win for liberals either. Brady, Gronk, Hogan, Amendola, and Burkhead all played in a manner they can be proud of. Nick Foles being named Super Bowl MVP - aside from Blake Bortles getting that award, that was the biggest poke in the eye possible to a biased media that loves to dump on White quarterbacks. Congratulations to Ertz as well for his winning TD.
No Beyoncé or Lady Gaga for either the national anthem or the halftime show? I thought those two SJW %&$*^@s had entered into some sort of permanent rotation for those positions. Still a couple of wiggers performing - the last halftime act worth watching was The Who (whose lead singer, Roger Daltrey, is anti-immigration) - but it could have been a lot worse. With the way things have been going with the nonstop anti-Trump attacks and the #MePoo witch-hunt, I was expecting full-on SJW tardism from start to finish. Guess the Money-Firsters among our (((overlords))) convinced the Kill Whitey Brigade to tone it down.
The bread and circuses continue, and the Empire lives another year.
