In strikeforce everyone is in there mid 30s and black that seems to be the requirement.

The "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva" from East Rutherford "Noo Joysee" card includes...

Main card

Heavyweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bout: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva
Heavyweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bout: Andrei Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov

***Announced matchups...the following fights have been confirmed by reliable sources, but not yet added to strikeforce.com.

Heavyweight Grand Prix reserve bout: Shane Del Rosario vs. Lavar Johnson
Heavyweight Grand Prix reserve bout: Ray Sefo vs. Valentijn Overeem

Strikeforce - Fedor vs. Silva

***The Dixie outlaw will be pulling MMA GOAT Fedor & Del Rosario (vs. afflete Johnson..yo!).

Im happy to see Josh and Kharitonov in strikeforce. Sergey was pretty underrated in pride back in the day. Still, neither of the two are as dangerous as alex emilianko. Alex is dangerous as hell. needs to be in the UFC, he would kill most people there.

Go Fedor, Barnett and Arlovski (though I think Sergei will beat Andre).

I also see Werdum again beating the overhyped Overeem (Or Ubereem as the DWFs call him).

Yeah, Strikeforce is heavily black though there are enough good white fighters (Fedor, Henderson, Barnett, Kennedy, Thompson, Noons, Miller ...etc) to keep me interested.

There are 2 black guys in a field of 8; two Brazilians; and four whites.

I'm not referring to the tournament, I am referring to Strikeforce company. They often build up black fighters by pitting them against underskilled white fighters. Meanwhile they make talented white guys have to fight other talented fighters. Lashley never had to fighter anyone on a high level and neither did Daniel Cormier. They are the same as Elite XC.

More like "Untereem".

Well, I am sad to see Arlovski go out like that again. He is a bit like Chuck Lidell now - still has heart and power but no chin.

Khartinov has great power though and already has wins over Overeem and Werdum.

Let's go Fedor!

Walkouts going on now - really want to see Fedor get a KO in this one and join his fellow Russian in the semi-finals.

Ugh .... ref stops the fight at the end of the second do to a closed eye. Fedor did not look good. He is too small for today's heavyweights.

Hope Kharitnov or Barnett can represent us and win the Strikeforce belt.

bad couple years for both he and his brother. Alex got beat by kickboxer Peter Graham who owns and mma record of 3-6.

Sounds like Fedor has fought his last fight. Personally, I am happy to not see him become a stepping stone.

He did our people proud and will go down as one of the true greats of MMA.

there were some news tonight. John Cholish defeated wrestling spealist Marc Stephens by submission. Shane del Rosario(latino) def Levar Johnson by first round submission. Chad Griggs who defeated Bobby Lashley last year, defeated Gian Villante by first round ko.

We were robbed that third round, I think Fedor would have came back and won it. Anything can happen even if it looks completely lopsided such as Edgar vs Maynard. Fedor weathered that ground and pound, and I thought it was over there. He escaped all those rear naked chokes, and that side choke, survived and reversed that knee bar and then... ref stoppage. Rather anti-climatic. That's a sad end for Fedor.

If Fedor doesn't retire he can still get back in this tournament as an injury replacement. Even if that happens he needs to get in much better shape and train with better fighters. I also was peed off at that stoppage, at least give a great warrior like Fedor a chance in the 3rd and final round...

Fedor and AA need to retire, imo. I don't want to see Fedor lose anymore, and seeing AA flat on his back rigid as a board, mouth open, making gurgling noises is too much.

I agree. I would love to see both of these guys getting involved in coaching for their respected country's youth.

I posted this in the "Shortlist for Fedor" thread. but it bears repeating...

Wow. I feel bad for Fedor.

He's been the greatest MMA fighter of all time. His BJJ defense has been exposed in his last 2 fights (1st round sub vs. Werdum & 2nd round domination by Silva). After the fight, Fedor made allusions to retiring. If he does NOT, I think he should cut to LHW (at 5'11), where he'd not have to deal with such a size disadvantage. Yes, he's beat giants like Sylvia, Hong-Man Choi & Semmy Schilt...BUT he's ran against better BJJ skill these last 2 fights and more size (Silva). FYI, here's the fight...

Fedor vs. "Bigfoot" Silva <:-(
