Looks like another Strikeforce card on CBS in April of next year. It appears Fedor & Dan Henderson (may fight Jake Shields for the MW strap) will be on the card (as of now). As an MMA fan, I love seeing it on a network during prime time...excellent exposure!

If Fedor were to fight Fabricio Werdum, it will be a short night of work. Werdum has good BJJ (he submitted Fedor's brother), but barely squeaked past that overgrown oaf, "Bigfoot"Â￾ Silva. Overeem needs to either fight Fedor, or be stripped of "his"Â￾ title ASAP.

I'm getting a little tired of UFC. I honestly hope that Strikeforce / M1 Global catches on and becomes a legit contender in the MMA world.

UFC costs $50 just to watch (which I would never buy), and SF/M1G is now free on network TV. Dana White is a dim-witted, foul-mouthed, obnoxious caste-pusher who refuses to sign (or even co-promote) the greatest mixed martial artist to ever walk the earth. The UFC HW division suffers in terms of credibility as a result.Edited by: Thrashen

I agree with your opinion of Dana White in regards to his foul mouth and lack of professionalism. About the $50 thing dude, do what I do and go to a sports bar that carries UFC PPV, buy a drink for five bucks and fiveteen bucks worth of wings and watch UFC for free(minus the cost of food).
Look forward to the Strikeforce card and I do hope they become lugit competetion for the UFC, it will make both products better.

Thrashen, ditto on sailor-mouth Dana White. His caste push of "affletes" & latinos is also irritating. I appreciate what he & the Fertitta brothers have done to take MMA mainstream, but his unprofessional comments, failure to sign Fedor & excessive banning of clothing lines (Affliction, Hoelzer Reich & RVCA). I hope Strikeforce continues to grow. No doubt Fedor would KO Werdum (who's BJJ is top level, but has a questionable chin).

I also go to Sports Bars with my buddies to watch UFC. I've only purchased the UFC PPV a few times (& one Affliction..Day of Reckoning...to see Fedor). I don't watch every PPV...usually every 2-3 months (depending on the card). I do watch alotta UFC on Spike (Unleashed, TUF) & WEC on Versus.

Agreed! It is time for some competition in MMA. Competition is always good in athletics. UFC has been seriously sliding as of late with regards to the quality of and how they book their cards, who they heavily promote and How Dana White is increasingly becoming an egotistical jackass. I have went from thinking Dana White did a good job, to tolerating him, to outright being disgusted by him in a few years time. I understand that UFC is not firing on all cylinders with Lesnar being on the sidelines, but would UFC be hyping Kimbo Slice so much if PRIDE was still around and offering good competition? I would say there would not be a chance in hell of it happening. Also Tito vs Chuck AGAIN is really supposed to make anyone look forward to TUF and buying ppv's, REALLY? Nothing against Chuck or Tito, but I haven't been interested in Tito Ortiz in years, and Chuck did nothing but seemingly go through the motions to collect a paycheck since 2007.
UFC can basically get away with almost anything right now because they have no competition and Dana White knows it. The sport desperately needs competition right now and StrikeForce is in the best position to both deliver that and keep UFC at least focused and honest.

BB, outstanding summary amigo. They're reaching far with placing Tito & Chuck as coaches (as if this was 2006). I was disappointed they didn't have 2 HW coaches on last season of TUF (versus the idiotic Rampage & "YOshad"). Imagine the draw that Lesnar & Carwin would be to TUF...just as coaches. I too am tired White's mule squeeze antics & hope Strikeforce signs a few more studs (in addition to Henderson).
