Just an FYI, Showtime will show Strikeforce tonight, starting at 730 PM PST. Gina Carano v Cris Cyborg will be the headline event, the first time a women's bout has headlined a major MMA event. The full televised card is as follows:
MAIN CARD (BEGINNING AT 7:30PM):
Gina "Conviction" Carano (7-0) vs. Cris "Cyborg" (7-1) â€" 145lb Female Championship Bout
Renato "Babalu" Sobral (35-8) vs. Gegard Mousasi (25-2-1) - Light Heavyweight Championship Bout
Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez (15-2) vs. Mitsuhiro Ishida (18-5-1) â€" Lightweight Interim Championship Bout
Jay "The Thoroughbred" Hieron (17-4) vs. Jesse "JT Money" Taylor (13-3)
If you guys are unaware, the Sobral - Mousasi and Melendez - Ishida fights are great matchups. Sobral is on a 17-2 fight streak I believe.
UFC is countering the Strikeforce show with a replay of UFC 100 on Spike. As I mentioned on the UFC 100 thread, I missed the show but have no desire to see Forrest or Florian get beat down, so I'll be watching Strikeforce.
Regardless, whichever show you watch - enjoy the fights!
