as wa33 said in the other thread, we've talked about Buehler several times on the boards, but this is still a good thing to post.

there is, of course, the standard insults thrownat "the dorks and dweebs of the league; the most likely to be hung from a hook in the locker room by the waistband of their tight little briefs ..."

and the lazy "reporter" didn't bother to point out that there are (and havebeen over the years) several kickers who are terrific athletes.in fact, off the top of my head Kris Brown and Hunter Smith are a couple of well known speedsters who kick.each has been regarded as possibly the fastest player on his team during their careers.

i'm glad you mentioned his name, wa33. i was sitting here trying to think of some of the other fast kickers and i knew there was a guy i should remember.

yes, sir. he was also in the NFL's Fastest Man a few years back, if i recall correctly, and made the final three. i do know he was a 4-time All-American in track in college (110- and 400-hurdles), was a 3-time National Champion in the 400-hurdles in high school, and is in the D-II Collegiate Track Hall of Fame.

Pat McAfee also has a nice set of wheels. he played soccer at WVU and was on numerous Olympic Development teams while still in high school as both a striker and defender.

in addition to the two guys i mentioned earlier, these are the other two guys that popped into my head. there are several others who are escaping me at the moment, though.
 
Adam Podlesh punter for Jags has 4.4 speed and is a good directional punter--ie low return yardage.
 
What are the guys doing at the kicker and punter positions? They should be receivers and corners. The NFL would never allow that though.
