Celta Vigo beat Barcelona 4-1 with Iago Aspas(who was given a chance at Liverpool) scoring two:

John Guidetti scored one as well:

I feel really sad for John Guidetti as he should really be the second striker at ManCity, behind Aguero. He scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in 23 games in The Eredivise in 2011-12,and was then sick for the next year. After that ManCity sent him to Stoke(where he never played) and Celtic(where he okay, with 8 in 24) and then let his contract run out and no ther PL team was interested in him:(.Hopefully he'll get his career back on track now.

And elsewhere,Benzema got the obligatory tap-ins(the added distance from where he shot both times, won't go into double figures,if counted in yards):

big matches this weekend, soon sevilla barcelona, and then tomorrow atletico madrid against real madrid
real madrid will have trouble this season, i think, because the other teams are better this year and they haven't made the changes they needed to do (goalkeeper, defender, marcelo, striker) and bale and even james have injuries

barcelona loses against sevilla, without messi
marketing arab player munir el haddadi missed a big oportunity
he is i think the worst player to have played for barcelona in ages
since the nigerian defender who was not good enough for the maldives league

the man of the match has to be the danish player krohn deli

atletico madrid 1 - real madrid 1
griezmann missed a penalty:tsk:
both teams couldn't afford to lose this match i think, so both will be realtively happy with the result , but things are going to be very close this year in this league

benzema's real madrid was annihilated by barcelona today :jaw:
4-0 for barcelona
beware real madrid, you have no striker, ronaldo is not in a good mood, and other clubs are not far from taking these champions league qualifying spots

i loved how barcelona had 2 local fullbacks (sergi roberto and alba) while real madrid had 2 brazilians (danilo and marcelo)
foreign star players should be for important positions, positions where you just have to run are for local players

Just checking..A positive though I heard Real Madrid want Lewandowski!!

they also talk about aguero, but people say a lot of things about real madrid every year :lie:
we'll see
benzema didn't start the champions league game after being ridiculously bad and the worst player of the match against barcelona, so this time i think it's time for a change

Griezmann with an excellent finish against Espanyol:shocked::

https://streamable.com/bnfs

He's up there with Ronaldo,Messi,Neymar,Suarez....

Griezmann scored the winning goal in a crucial 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao:

And what a goal too!
Griezmann is the ultimate clutch player in La Liga now, with his goals netting more points than that of any other player. He must move to Barca soon,if he cannot win the CL at Atletico.Let Real buy Aubemeyang. The jewish press has set this one up,and must have even fixed a price north of 50m,for all we know.:dodgy:

meanwhile, in a very important match against villarreal, benzema missed sitter after sitter
http://www.soccerladuma.co.za/news/...rreal-1-0-real-madrid-13-december-2015/222999

"Rafael Benitez's charges came out fighting after the interval. Gareth Bale set up a great chance for Karim Benzema with a ball in behind the defence. However, the French striker's stunning half-volley only just managed to go wide of the target.

A few minutes later Benzema missed a sitter. Yet again Bale was the instigator as he sped towards the byline before cutting it back for his teammate at the near post. Despite beating his marker, Benzema couldn't put his shot on target.

Unbelievably the Galacticos striker missed another perfect chance in the 74th minute. On this occasion it was Cristiano Ronaldo who did the hard work on the right to make his way to the byline before sending a pin-point cross to the far post, but Benzema directed his header wide with the goalkeeper easily beaten."

it's not the first time he makes real madrid lose a title or an important match

the first one back in 2011:

http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football...-coruna-real-madrid_mtc393592/live.shtml#live

"AND THERE IS THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE!!! Is Real Madrid's title bid now over? They are SEVEN points behind Barcelona now – it looks to be too much. Thanks for joining us. "

benzema shamefully missed the goal that should have given the 3 points to real madrid in the last minutes of the game:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xh92d2_gros-rate-de-benzema-vs-deportivo-la-coruna-foot_sport

the kind of miss only benzema can do

the season after real madrid won the league but benzema scored less than his substitute higuain and as i showed multiple times on this forum benzema's goals were less important than higuain's

then the season after that:

http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/liga/2012-2013/betis-v-sociadad-live_sto3450405/story.shtml

early in the season real madrid needed to win against barcelona to keep their title hopes up, and they should have won, but benzema missed badly:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2P8dH9a-JQ&feature=youtu.be

2 months later mourinho admitted the title was lost: http://www.socceramerica.com/article/49676/mourinho-la-liga-title-impossible-following-dra.html

then in 2014, real madrid was leading the league, but benzema went scoreless in a few games in a row and real madrid lost everything
first in the defeat against barcelona:

http://i.imgur.com/wk1Q5hC.gif

https://i.minus.com/iBuKxlhR1wNiR.gif

http://i.imgur.com/vngHZtk.gif

incredibly wasteful

he didn't score in the following match in which real madrid lost against sevilla, and was booed in the next match played at home

even when real madrid won their 10th champions league, benzema totally disappeared, registering zero shots in the last 2 gmaes of the tournament, when the title was decided

then add the multiple records he holds with the national team (longest time without a goal in the national team ever, led the team to the longest period without scoring, france only scored again when he was benched, least efficient striker in the history of the euro champs according to opta)

and to think he has a reputation as a big match player

Zinedane Zidane is trending on Twitter with rumours that he will take over at Real Madrid if Benitez is sacked.

https://twitter.com/search?q=Zidane&src=tren

I haven't followed any leagues this year so I don't know what's going on but things must have deteriorated fast at the Bernabeu to be considering Zidane. He doesn't strike me as being the managerial type.

zidane is a legend in the middle east
most popular muslim/arab player
and real madrid are based in the middle east, right?

do you know borja mayoral? well he is real madrid's new starting striker now that benzema is injuried
18 years old
what a wise decision to have only 1 striker (benzema) when you are playing champions league, league and various cups!

valencia lost again today against levante another team from the same region
both teams started 2 arabs
i kid you not when i say spanish clubs work very hard to seduce arab audiences
one of these arab starters is abdennour of valencia
he is from the french league and every big club wanted him last year
valencia got him for 25 millions, big transfer

he has been terrible, fell out of the starting 11 even

see this bad pass against getafe that led to a goal:

valencia dropped points in that match because of it

or this unwanted pass to his arab brother (yes, this is the spanish league) benzema and after he comes out very naively:

he's another out of shape arab player:

that's a very disappointing season for valencia

very important goal for ukranian player konoplyanka against villarreal:

https://streamable.com/z15g

4-2 for sevilla in the end
that means that real madrid would have to fail big time in the remaining matches to not qualify directly for champions league

What a stunning goal.Unai Emery has to be one of the finest coaches out there. He always ensured Valencia got CL football and now is working miracles with Sevilla, winning the Europa League twice in a row.So happy for Konoplyanka though, great goal!
