I sure hope there are no other vacancies the next 3 1/2 years. There are those of us in the pro-life community with hopes that she is the reverse David Souter and that her alleged Catholicism will kick in on pro-life issues. It's only a long shot hope but a Supreme Court Justice can basically do whatever they want to do once they are on the court. She will more than likely be a awful addition to the court and one of the least intelligent and persuasive ever.

Let this appointment bear as a reminder that Republicans are no different than Democrats. This senorita had smooth sailing through the hearings in ways that Bork and Thomas only wish they had. Of course, having a pair of melons and being one of the "preferred" ethnicities is the American meal ticket.

I respectfully don't agree with your "no difference" comment between the Republicans and Democrats. 31 Republicans had the political cahones to vote against her and risk a Hispanic backlash in the voting booth. I have plenty of problems with the GOP but just not buying into the "no difference" arguement which is often posted at this website.

Maybe there's a tad more than no difference between the parties, but its certainly less than a dime's worth of difference, just like Gov. Wallace said way back in 1968.

The 'opposition' to sotomayor could be calculated. Remember... Washington is Hollywood for ugly people. Edited by: C Darwin

I could find a little solace- with this troublesome pick- if she turns out to be pro-life. But...Overall she seems to fit the socialist type profile of views/ policies that Obama is trying to implement federally and unconstitutionally across the U.S. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about this confirmation.

there is absolutely nothing good about this. nothing.

unless, of course, you're a believer in things have to get worse before they get better for White folks. if that's the case, then this certainly is a step toward things getting worse.

also, in this supposed "post-racial" administration of Obongo's, i have yet to hear a single media personality or read a single written piece praising the "wise Latina's" record as a judge. not one.

funny, how race isn't supposed to matter to "us," but it's all "they" talk about. weird, huh?

Can you name me one Republican, currently active, who has ever spoken out (or even hinted at) in support of White people and their interests? They're too busy apologizing for the hideously White, male presence in their ranks and are bending over backwards to please everyone but said people. As for the Republicans not in favor of Sotomayor, their opinions don't matter to the MSM and the Republican media machine.

I hate to be defending the GOP but since you asked. Most Republicans(70%) are against affirmative action and illegal immigration. Those are defacto pro-white views but you know as well as I do that any Republican that openly talks about White interests and white interests exclusively is toast, career over and forever marginalized. My arguement with you was the "no difference" comment, I am not saying that the GOP hasn't dropped the ball on many issues important to us around here.Edited by: guest301

"our" republican leadership has done little more than pay lip service in opposing illegal immigration and affirmative action.

if they really cared about their constituents (White people), they would have fought against both. instead, they whimper and moan and then vote to pass resolutions directly opposed to the Constitution and the good of the country. and they have purposefully abandoned the White vote as they try to out-liberal the only-slightly-more-liberal democrats to gain minority votes.

true, Ron Paul is a republican, but aside from him no one ineither of the two main parties represent our people, mate. at least their records show that they don't.
