I'll go on record as saying Tiger Woods is the best golfer in the world at present. But the way he is worshipped by the media is beyond amazing. I truly believe that one day I'll pick up my morning sportspage and read something like this....
Tiger Woods showed at the (insert tournament name here) today why he is the best golfer of all-time, as he overcame horrendous playing conditions, unruly fan behavior and his own very slow start to rally from an early 6 over par score, to finish his round at one under.
Falling victim to heavy winds and intermittant rain that fell all day long, Tiger nevertheless perservered, guided by his supreme mental toughness and unmatched golfing nerve, qualities only he possesses. After bogies on his opening three holes and an unheard of triple bogey on the fifth hole, Tiger gained momentum on number six. As he prepared to hit his drive there, a man in the crowd had the nerve to cry out in pain, apparently at the onset on a heart attack. Tiger's piercing glare in the direction of this despicable "fan" sent Tiger-lovers in the crowd to the rescue, and they proceeded to do the right thing, as they choked and beat the man senseless. "Let's go Tiger!" they shouted triumphantly, as the hooligan breathed his last.
And go he did, sinking a 75-five foot par for eagle, and proceeding with a dazzling display of shotmaking, which brought him to within 12 shots of the lead going into tomorrow's round.
"He can win this thing, said (insert worshipping announcer, fan, or fellow golfer), that's how great he is."
Tournament leader (insert name here) shot a PGA record 58, which included two holes in one.
