USA played Franfrica today in the Olympics. It's primarily a U23 tournament as most nations use it as a development tournament with each squad having up to 3 players over age. Most squads have less then 3. USA squad was far improved from the Copa squad as majority of squad was "underachievers". Can't say the same for their opponent.Screenshot_2024-07-24-21-55-46-510.jpg..

While US lost 3-0 to Franfrica, they controlled a good portion of the game but, couldn't finish their chances and unfortunately their opponents did. But, once again this game proves how overrated Franfrica is similar to their performance in the Euros.

I checked their roster and Truffert and Chotard are the only Frenchmen on it. The most mind boggling trend is that they have 2 more black goaltenders. For the Euros they had 3 black goalies. Can someone quickly name the best black goaltender of all time? That’s sort of rhetorical because I don’t think there are any. This alone could be a downfall of French soccer, as for years, the great Hugo Lloris kept them in games they had no right winning with brilliant saves.

Zidane is white.. culturally he's not European nor Christian but he is Caucasian..

He'd be considered non-Hispanic white on the US census; as would Salah, Benzema etc... but Europe has stricter definitions; even guys like Pirlo (part Sinti) and Beckham (part Jewish) wouldn't be considered fully white by many.

Pirlo and Beckham are white guys. That’s pretty obvious.

Half-black England lost a 'Nations League' home game to all-Greek Greece today, 2-1. England started 5 black outfield players, brought in three more black players off the bench, and finished with 6 black outfield players on the field while conceding the final goal in stoppage time. (I'm counting Cole Palmer as white)

This was the first time Greece has ever beaten England in any competition, amazingly.

Greece's previous captain, half-English George Baldock, died suddenly earlier this week, aged 31.

2 great football/soccer nations turned so 'dark' right after this century starts - France, and Brazil.

We have to credit Didier Deschamps, with him Les Bleus not seem too black, every time he needs 1 replacement just before major tournaments is started, he picked white (Veretout, Digne,Clauss, Thauvin). Many veterans/local media blaming he's too 'traditional', they are saying he picked too many whites that are not good enough, I think Didier knew how 'complicated' their society is now, if we check France u17-u21 squad list these years, they are not white friendly for sure.

The MLS final airs tomorrow afternoon on FOX at 4pm. The New York Red Bulls are unlikely finalists as the 7th seed from the Eastern Conference. The LA Galaxy have a better record and larger payroll but will be without star player Riqui Puig (Spain).

The Red Bulls started 10/11 white players in the semi-final game last week. Their top players are Emil Forsberg (Sweden), Dante Vanzeir (Belgium), Lewis Morgan (Scotland), Felipe Carballo (Uruguay), Carlos Coronel (Brazil), John Tolkien (USA), and brothers Sean and Dylan Nealis (USA).

The Galaxy's top players are Marcus Reus (Germany), Gabriel Pec (Brazil), Dejan Joveljic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Gaston Brugman (Uruguay), John McCarthy and John Nelson (USA), and they also start two Japanese defenders.

This should be a decent match and ironically whiter/less black than many of the Champions League top seeds.

In other MLS news, Lionel Messi was awarded the league MVP after tallying 20 goals and 16 assists in just 19 games. He definitely sold a lot of tickets again this season.
