The MLS final airs tomorrow afternoon on FOX at 4pm. The New York Red Bulls are unlikely finalists as the 7th seed from the Eastern Conference. The LA Galaxy have a better record and larger payroll but will be without star player Riqui Puig (Spain).
The Red Bulls started 10/11 white players in the semi-final game last week. Their top players are Emil Forsberg (Sweden), Dante Vanzeir (Belgium), Lewis Morgan (Scotland), Felipe Carballo (Uruguay), Carlos Coronel (Brazil), John Tolkien (USA), and brothers Sean and Dylan Nealis (USA).
The Galaxy's top players are Marcus Reus (Germany), Gabriel Pec (Brazil), Dejan Joveljic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Gaston Brugman (Uruguay), John McCarthy and John Nelson (USA), and they also start two Japanese defenders.
This should be a decent match and ironically whiter/less black than many of the Champions League top seeds.
In other MLS news, Lionel Messi was awarded the league MVP after tallying 20 goals and 16 assists in just 19 games. He definitely sold a lot of tickets again this season.
