When CF is moved to a different hosting and tech support company shortly they will delete all the "CPM fun ads," which are the source of the troubles, so hopefully any remaining glitches will end when that occurs.

As I mentioned previously in this thread, this has been an unexpected financial hardship, so any donations would be appreciated. I know a lot of you helped get the rebuild accomplished, but I've put a lot of money into Caste Football over the years to keep it a free site and only asked for help one time (for the most recent rebuild), so please remember there's a "Help This Site" link to make a donation to the Cause.

Other then the issue I PM'ed you about a few days ago, which has went away, I have no trouble accessing the site with Mozilla, but at work when I use Internet Explorer the site is very slow, freezes, screws up pages, is basically unusable.

This is true for me too. Stopped using Internet Explorer because of it.

i no longer use IE to access the site, either. i've been using Safari, and other than it taking a long time to load yesterday all the other problems have gone away on my end.

Maybe that is my problem too, since I have used IE on this machine. I'll start using another browser and see if it helps speed up the page loading process. Glad to hear you are doing well, JC! Nice thread about Arkansas high school track too!

Checking this site out now. On Tuesday I went to this site and everything froze up on me. I quickly pulled my internet cable and was forced to do a power off & on. Very worrisome. I use Firefox and it is always faster and safer than IE. Today, so far so good.

Don, I will be glad to help out. I hope we all can see this as a sort of group project, keeping this site up & running.

I use Firefox, and have never had a single problem with this site. And now I have probably jinxed myself. :twitch:

Don, right now the site is working great on my Chrome Google. Just what was the problem with the site loading up and mis-directions weeks back. Just curious.

I am going to buy the top of the line Mac desk top and have made the commitment to become fluent in the workings of computers. I will also sign up for their tutorial "one on one" program next week.

It originated from the last ads that were added to the site a few months back. Not sure if the code was put in wrong or some hackers used the ads to install malware. As I mentioned earlier, the company I hired to rebuild CF was amazingly incompetent. I'm glad I've found a new one to host and maintain Caste Football. They've had to put a lot of time into locating the problems and getting rid of them.

The rest of the bad code should be gone in the next day or two. I've been using Google Chrome myself for CF as it still freezes on Explorer, but hopefully it will be working properly on all browsers soon.

I had problems viewing the post section today. Unlike other posters this was the only day where I had problems. Maybe it was just a "normal" problem.

I'm having major problems with all parts of the site. It seems to be related to internet explorer. I would download firefox or google chrome guys. It might help at least with accessing this site but we have major problems going on at the moment.

I am having problems getting redirected to another page when trying to leave a thread and when trying to close it it says "are you sure you want to exit" but this is the only website that it happens for
I get that too. With IE. Also I could not access the forums at all for a while but could go to the home page. Also seems to be slow but I am on the road so it may be the provider. It has gotten better as the day went on.

Google Chrome runs better than internet explorer. Connecting from my I-Pad also is giving me problems.

I was unable to access the forums the entire day yesterday, with either IE or Firefox. I could get to the main page and articles, but when I hit the discussion forum I would get a "server error".

I've tried Firefox and I'm still being redirected like dwid mentioned. I went back to IE and it does the same thing. The pages take a while to load as well.

For now google chrome is the best way to go until it's working normal again. It's free to download and it works flawlessly.

Get Firefox with these plugins:
Flashblock
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/

Ghostery
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/
(block everything in the setup)

Adblock Edge (a fork of Adblock Plus, ABP allows "non-intrusive" ads by default, edge doesn't)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-edge/

For complete (but annoying) protection use noscript
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/

You will never have another problem on any website ever again with these add-ons.

HTTPS everywhere and duckduckgo are also worth considering for privacy.

Thanks man. I added these and now my firefox is working flawlessly on this site. No more annoyances.

apparently, i'm the luckiest guy in my home town visiting CF ... every time i close a window on this site, a pop-up tells me i'm a winner if i just stay on the page to claim my prize. :der:

am i the only one who is having this issue?
