Site Awareness-NFL White Players

Sometimes when I'm reading on CF, I wonder about how many white NFL players are aware of this site.

Of course I don't expect them to show up and comment, but I'd like to believe that after several years' existence that CF has become a place that not a few white athletes, including the dwindling number in the NFL, are familiar with.

Peyton Hillis continues to get screwed. Does he know the support he has here?

Brian Leonard has struggled from the NFL Scouting Combine to be taken seriously as anything other than a back-up FB. Does he know how much the people here cheer for him to get carries each week?

Jacob Hester...Danny Woodhead...the list goes on.

CF members continue to fight the good fight in the hope that it will lead to fairness for whites in the NFL, sports in general, and elsewhere in society.

Do you guys think the message is being heard by the white athletes we are rooting for?

I have sent messages to Jacob Hester, Danny Woodhead and Toby Gerhart, among other white college players. I've never received much of a reply from any of them yet, but I'm almost positive they at least know about the CF site. One quote from Toby's father in an article I posted on the Toby thread indicates that he understands RBs like Toby (white) face their biggest obstacle in getting NFL carries, which is something we frequently discuss here. I know some white college players have checked out the site in the past and a couple have even posted here before. I'd say the awareness is growing.

I hope so, Colonel Reb.

I remember Dallas Robinson, the sprinter, showing up here and saying his appreciation for CF support. I also recall a relative of great Oregon HS RB Cory McCaffrey-now at Portland State-talking about some of the challenges he faced if he tried to go to a 1-A school, and why he decided 1-AA.

I imagine some are aware of this site because people have a habit of occasionally googleing their name and for some of the more obscure white players out there one of our links is the top google search for their name. I imagine they're extremely hesitant to personally associate themselves with this site because the reprimands could prove tremendous, but in our 1,100+ members and many times more guests I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if a few are or were white athletes that we've talked about.

I agree with that kre08. Whites are not allowed to speak up anymore about injustices in the sports or anything. When you have white coaches that go along with the caste system and promote it there is a huge problem.

I've wondered about this issue as well. In terms of a crucial practical impact, I'd say for football the most important thing would be if white high school players who are pondering which schools to go to would receive some practical information. If we can help steer more and more good athletes to schools where they will actually play and not get forgotten, and encourage the best white athletes to boycott anti-white SEC schools and go for more white friendly conferences I'd say that would be making a difference.

I, with help from several others, have been trying to do just that since 2005 with the "Whitest College Teams" threads. I encourage people to print off that info and give it to the parents of any white high school players they know, along with the athletes themselves. Emailing it to people and posting the info on other sites is also a good idea. The more it gets out there, the more potential it has to help people.

I saw yesterday on ANU a similar thread you posted about the number of white players on college teams, Colonel Reb.

Some of the lurkers who don't want to get actively involved with these sites would do well just to go to ANU regularly and read the many free news feeds on the front page to get a different, and often more accurate, take on the news.

That thread is going to be invaluable to me as I make my slow transition to college football. I want to go back to rooting for a team, which is now impossible for me insofar as the NFL goes. The only issue is which white-friendly team will be broadcast the most in my area, as I live in the heart of SEC country. Thanks to the Colonel and all the others who illumine the state of racism in college football.

I will take college football any day of the week to the NFL. For the NFL to win me back, they will have to show fairness to white players at the taboo positions of rb, cb, and wide receiver. We need higher numbers of stars playing on Sundays. Too many white running backs have had their careers ruined by blocking or playing special teams for a living. I'm glad they make good money, but they deserve better. It is time that the NFL is forced to change. Quit discriminating against white players.

As of today there have been over 703,000 different individuals who have visited the Caste Football site. Of those, 109,000 have been back for repeat visits. There have been nearly 23 million page views. So it's fair to say that a lot of athletes, journalists, supporters, opponents, fence straddlers, etc., are aware of this site and its mission.

Keep posting, fellas. Quality and quantity results in increased traffic, which means increased awareness of the problem and solutions to it. As I've mentioned before, the number of page views has really taken off since summer.Edited by: Don Wassall

While some white players may secretly agree with the posters on CF, I doubt seriously that any would give even a cursory mention of it in public. That would mean the end of what little chance they have at succeeding in the NFL.

Almost certainly, if any were questioned by the mainstream news about this site, they'd quickly distance themselves from us and probably label CF as "racist" and/or a "hate" site. It would be similar to when Ross Perot was confronted with the "fact" that many people from "hate" groups were supporting his campaign, and he responded by dramatically stating "if you're a hater, I don't want your vote."

I think that the White players are pretty much aware of this site. They must agree for the most part, whatever they may say in public. Otherwise they'd be pretty dumb. They know what's going on. They're living it. They are present at the practices where they beat out the blacks and see the blacks getting the starts over them and their White colleagues. But in the end, the nfl is going to be forced to change their ways. The combination of a lousy economy and people becoming disgusted with the crummy play will take it's toll and force changes. Then there's the fact that there's going to be TV blackouts as the year progresses into it's final weeks. Of course, no owner is going to let his bottom line be effected to help some black bum atheltes.

Yes numerous college athletes visit this site, as I did. Now I was far from anyone who was talked about, but yes I'm sure some of the big names we mentioned have come across this site, and maybe even read it with interest. Even though I wasn't anyone high profile, I avoided posting anything that could tie me to who I was, because I've seen athletes you've never heard of brought up on ESPN for posting something "racist" on their facebook, etc. Even if a walk-on athlete in any sport is found to be posting on CF, and that info makes it to sportscenter they will likely be suspended for the year. At least that was a few years ago. Maybe the jig is up now, and it would backfire if they suspended someone for posting on CF. I'm thinking CF is ripe for mentioning on ESPN, but they might be afraid of the traffic it would bring to this site.

Don, do you think Toby Gerharts increasing awareness is bringing more traffic to the site???

There are many factors that are going in to the increase in traffic to CF. I am a relatively new addition to this site, and I found it because it was mentioned in an article that I read in regards to white disparity in football. My sons are aspiring athletes and I've run into the caste mentality in Pop Warner football already.
Now, many of us here post on other sites in response to various articles, I always try to give a plug to CF whenever I can. I figure if we all squeeze in a plug here and there on our "other site" posts, it will also help to drive traffic to the site, so that more DFWs will awake from their stupor.

Im trying to do everything i can to spread the word. I recently wrote an essay about the caste system. I new it was a risk but thankfully my teacher said it was brave of me to write about the topic. I tell all my friends to go here to so hopefully more members are on the way!

After Talking on the the phone multiple times with my old Division 2 comrade....John Kuhn out of Shippensburg University.. I know for fact he is well aware of the site and the discussion on him as well a other white RB's....He has never eluded to me any type of discrimination at his current team Green Bay....However, Pittsburgh well that is quite a different story. In fact he is the reason i started to follow the site.... I wish him luck...but he knows how the system works....hey at least at green bay they throw him a bone every now and then

It's certainly possible. A lot of people end up here by doing searches. I've noticed that the Peyton Hillis thread gets lots of views, so maybe Hillis fans from far and wide are interested in what we're writing about him. The same could be true with Gerhart.

And as Football Dad wrote, mentioning the site whenever possible helps. The big names like ESPN ignore us but we've been mentioned on countless smaller discussion forums and in comments after articles. It all adds up. I don't see how it's possible for less people to become aware of the Caste System over time as it is an ongoing thing always affecting more and more people along with their families and friends. I really think the media has toned down its knee-jerk negative stereotyping of White athletes somewhatin the past year, so a little progress is being made in reversing a huge tide that gained momentum for decades without any opposition.

We're far from huge ourselves; a few thousand people a day visit here in a country filled with a hundred million or so dumbed down DWFs. But our ripples are spreading far and wide.Edited by: Don Wassall

I have a feeling some articles regarding the discrimination of white athletes that were published in papers all across the country were inspired by caste football. For example several years ago when we were all discussing the fantastic white runningback from NJ in Ray Vanpeenen there was an article in my local paper about his lack of big college offers because heis white.Several other articles havebeen posted on this board as well. Yesterday Colonel Reb posted an article from an Oakland journalist describing Toby Gerhart's lack of Heisman trophy consideration. Word isgetting out.

Yes, it seems like there have been more articles in reference to race lately compared to ten years ago. Scott Concannon, Brandon Wegher, Toby Gerhart, and other high school kids, etc.

What disappoints me is that most of these articles about race are written by blacks. White writers need to grow some balls and start putting these articles out more. These black sportswriters like Jemele Hill care nothing about the lack of whites at many positions in the NFL. They write these articles for attention and publicity and that's it. Noone can tell me any different. After all blacks think of football and basketball as "their" sports and don't like the fact that whites are in the league at all. We need white journalists to support our cause.Edited by: whiteathlete33

fightingtowin: hellhammer's reference to John Kuhn in Pittsburgh regards the poor treatment he received there. It was clear that he was good enough to be on the active roster and contributing-even when Dan Kreider was there-but he got very few chances.

After Mike Tomlin took over, the Steelers have had nothing but trouble from the FB position, as Kreider was also kicked out of town.

The Steeler tight ends do a solid job blocking in two TE formations, but the black sumos at G and T can't get the job done in short-yardage situations.

To be fair, this problem should also be blamed on Bruce Arians at offensive coordinator, but the ultimate responsibility lies on Mike Tomlin's shoulders.

Green Bay actually gives white players like Kuhn, Korey Hall, Spencer Havner and Jordy Nelson at least some opportunities to play and contribute, which is something that is generally not true in Pittsburgh.

Do you think there would be any way to contact the universities or agents of pro players to schedule interviews with the athletes? Or maybe even former pro players that have obviously been screwed (we have an endless list of them) that have nothing to lose exposing the discrimination? We could obviously pose the right questions to these guys that the MSM sports writers dances around. Or am I just spinning my wheels, do we have to be an official news website to be granted interviews?
