Tonight on Showtime, white journeyman Tommy Karpency defeated Chad Dawson by split decision.
Congrats to Tommy, but he could have shown more. He said he got only 3 weeks notice, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Dawson has faded a bit, plus he hurt his shoulder in the 3rd. But good win for Tommy. His next fight I will expect more. He could have stop Chad tonight, if he was conditioned right and let his hands go.

Speaking of fighters that needed to step up; Vanes Martiroysan at 154 lbs beat one of Showtimes newest affeletic hopes in Nelson. It was a great fight. To me it was a throw back fight to the 40s and 50s. It was like LaMotta vs Robinson. Both were skilled, but Vanes conditioning and knowing this was a crossroads stepped on the gas and prevailed. A great fight with skilled fighters banging and ducking when needed. Vanes sets himself up with a title shot. Congrats.

On a couple of side notes, it was great see Joe Gooosen, brother of Dan Goosen who passed away this week in the corner of Vanes. I always thought Joe was great trainer and tactitioner. To me he always gave coherent strategy to his fighters. Glad he and Vanes won tonight. Nelson's head trainer was Jack Leow. Kelly Pavlik's former trainer. Its too bad that Kelly let the bottle beat him in the ring. I hope he invested his purses in apartments.

Yes, to be fair Luis Ortiz looked like a good heavyweight tonight.

Wladimir Klitschko needs qualified opponents. I think Ortiz will defeat the faded Chagaev and that will set up an interesting fight between Ortiz and Wlad for sometime in 2015.
Ortiz flunked his post fight PED test. So much for his huge physique. I wonder what Golden Boy will do to get him out of this predicament....http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...d-positive-steroid-wake-winning-interim-title

It's coming from a fellow negro so it's not racist (like in a way that most blacks call each other n******). If Golovkin were to say Floyd is avoiding white fighters on the other hand....

Rap is Crap, did you read the article? He is basically saying black fighters are tougher than non-black fighters. He also said that only black fighters have given Floyd trouble in the ring. He's being racist towards basically all non-blacks. That's what I am referring to.

Sorry about that! I read the article and was aware of his claim about black fighters being "tougher," I just thought you meant he was racist by bringing up black fighters toughness to detract Floyd (fellow black fighter), who is supposedly not wanting any part of fighting them. Thought it was just another brotha on brotha hate but yeah, he's pretty much assuming blacks have the "superior" boxing. A fight between Floyd and any black fighter with a similar style would be pretty boring anyways. It would be like watching 2 Usain Bolts in the ring. Plus, I'd rather watch Floyd lose to a non-black fighter to totally dispute ridiculous claims like these. He should have already lost to Castillo imo.

Boner looks to be at least 170 lbs there. Its amazing how he goes up and down in weight between fights. His reckless lifestyle will catch up with him shortly. BTW, another Showtime black hope will be on tonight, Devon Alexander, he has boxing skills but always fails at the big fights. Alexander vs Kahn. Kahn should win by UD or KO, depending on how his glass chin holds up.

Amerikkkan Negro Hypejob Devon Alexander just got comprehensively outboxed by a much faster, quicker-handed, and slicker Amir Khan tonight. You could make a strong argument that Amir Khan won every round over the Amerikkkan Negro. Personally I scored the fight 119-109, but just as easily you could have had it 120-108 for Amir.

Devon Alexander is a pretty good opponent and one of USA's best boxers so this is a great win for Khan. Khan now has impressive wins over Maidana, Alexander, and Collazo.

There's talk of a Mayweather-Khan fight, and honestly, I think Khan will probably be faster than Mayweather. Mayweather will have a hard time to land punches and he will get caught by Khan's quick punches. I give Khan the best chance of beating Mayweather aside from Golovkin.

Great to see black hype Alexander beaten.Khan boxed his head off.Khan is very confident and wants Mayweather as opposed to Mayweather who's been silent on a potential clash.Khan is one of if not the fastest combination puncher in the world and would give Mayweather problems.I think Khan beats Mayweather so it will be interesting to see how he goes about avoiding that fight,He's also ducking Pacquio big time but surly there is no where for him to run.

Stiverne-Wilder

Stiverne and Wilder were unimpressive fighting for the belt that Vitali left behind when he retired. A viewer that didn't know better would think that the winner of that pathetic fight was the real HW champion with the way Showtime presented it. :tsk:

The Wilder hype is on. They have their next black dope.

Stiverne was a fat human punching bag that only showed heart by going the distance and not quitting on his stool like Odlanier Solis did today in Turkey.

Wilder while looking decent early did tire significantly down the stretch and looked mechanical and fatigued when this happened.

Wilder will be matched cautiously until he has to fight Povetkin or is thrown into a Klitschko unification fight. His management team have all but said that he isn't ready for Klitschko(and probably never will be, unless Klitschko looks old).

I was honestly sick to death of all the blackfest after he won the title. All the blacks and wiggers on boxing forums and the media were wetting their pants over "The Next Great American Heavyweight." I think Klitschko and even Fury will have him staring up at the lights if he fights either of them.

Tyson talks Klitschko

The black interviewer tries getting him to badmouth the HW division, asks him if Wilder can beat Wlad. Wilder is truly the Great Black Hope for a lot of folks.
