Shaq is being widely qouted in the press today for saying that Steve Nash's back to back MVP's were tainted. Tainted by what? Could it be because he is white? Tony Kornheiser on Espn yesterday raised that question. What do you guys think. Obviously Shaq'a best days are behind him and maybe he misses being the center of attention. He's not even the mvp of his own team, Dwayne Wade is.

Shaq is a part time player anymore, he usually doesn't even start until right before the all star break. He is still a force in the middle, but nothing like he was in the 90s, and he is a huge liability at the charity stripe. If D-Wade is out for the year Miami might not even make the playoffs. Shaq needs to bow out after this year and start his law enforcement career, because he will start to be like a Shawn Kemp type player before its over.
As for his Nash comments, he is just jealous because he won't sniff an MVP the rest of his career. Hell Nowitzki and Nash might go 1-2 in the MVP vote this time around.

I've stated this before, but in my opinion when I watched Shaq in his prime get his 40 minutes I normally counted about 8 or 9 fouls (mostly offensive) but less than half were called. The game isn't called the way it should be anymore.

Does anyone know Shaq's "bulking" timeline in the NBA?
Look, he was skinny at LSU, and I would guess that he had all-you-can-eat "perks" when he was there. I know he was skinny when he hit the NBA with the Magic, but I don't know "when" he started getting really big.
Shaq was billed as the alpha-male, the black superman, and I wouldn't be surprised if something more was going on. In reality, Shaq is small-boned, and all that mass (plus maybe something else), may be the cause of all the injuries that have plagued him for years.
Perhaps, his frame couldn't handle his "unnatural" build. Comments would be appreciated!

Shaq is and always has been an overrated, semi-talented offensive foul machine who uses his height and obesity to abuse and misplay other players and the game of basketball.
Bill Russell, George Mikan -- those were true big men who were athletes and actually had skill.
In fact, very few basketball players today have true fundamental skills. Just jumping and hype.
Elite players from the 60s through the 80s would have eaten them alive had not the rules been changed to make the NBA more acceptable to the ghetto.
Unfortunately for no-talents like Shaq, incredibly talented players like Michael Jordan and WHITE Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash show them up for who they are.
