Does anyone know what ethnicity Shane Patrick Victorino is? He's from Hawaii, but is he a mix of something? It's so hard for me to tell.. just seeing if anyone else knew.

I don't know his ethnicity---sounds Italian--but the guy is another white speedster who's stolen 18 out of 20 bases this year. He's a major reason for the Fightin' Phils resurgence.

Oops, my mistake, apparently he is part Hawaiian and part white-Spanish (Italian?). Well, he looks a little more white than Hawaiian, at any rate.

On Wikipedia, it says he's a Portuguese American. I'm guessing that he's a Portuguese/Filipino mix.

I don't know about you guys, but I enjoy watching him play. You notice that the Phillies don't score "diversity points" for having him... because he isn't a precious negro.
