SEC Network, Saturdays in the South: A History of SEC Football

The SEC Network almost never has anything about the pre-1970 SEC. A year or so ago they had a program on Fran Tarkenton's Georgia career 1958-60, but that's about it.

This year for the 150th anniversary of college football the SEC Network has a series. On Tuesday night, September 10, at 9 pm ET, there is a 90 minute show on the SEC 1933-59. This is Part Two of the series. I missed Part one, which repeats on Friday, September 20, covering 1869-1932.

Part Three, covering 1960-70, premieres Tuesday, September 17, 9 pm ET.

As an old-line SEC fan, I'm curious as to how they play it. Younger people should be interested.

I just saw the program, good overall. A few politically correct moments, but a lot of interesting footage. The players of that period (1933-59) were mostly working class or poor, with a football scholarship "a way out." Toward the end a good segment on Billy Cannon.

What should be happening but won't is White kids doing whatever it takes to rise above and succeed. White ethnic awareness is now extinguished, as is racial awareness in general, now demonized as "nazism" by our lovely corporate media. Most professional White athletes come from suburban backgrounds; where many should be coming from is urban areas but sadly Whites there have been nullified and rendered useless.
