Sean is not known for what he did as a major leaguer but as a Little League star, His team won back- to- back Little League Championships and he also won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. Baseball Team in the 2000 Olympic Games.

Seems a tragic end to what became a story of redemption. The weight of a lifetime of expectations (dad a major leaguer, Little League exploits) took their toll, and Burroughs struggled with drugs and drink.

He cleaned up his life and actually made it back to the majors some years later, but perhaps the damage to his body had already been done. Unthinkably terrible that it happened in front of his son, on top of everything.
