It's about time for the world's best golfer to have a thread on Caste Football. Scottie Scheffler has been on an all-time run of greatness the past several years, during which he's been as good as Tiger Woods in his peak year of 2000, the one Rich Lerner and Brandon Chamblee spend a large portion of their on-air time still talking about and pining for. Meanwhile, Scheffler is in the here and now and receives about 1/20 the attention and acclaim Woods always has, if that.

In 2025, Scheffler won 6 of the 20 tournaments he entered, including 2 majors. And he led the PGA Tour in scoring average for all four rounds, something not accomplished since Woods in his heyday year a quarter century ago. Scheffler is dominating at a historic pace and one can only hope the fire within continues to burn for a number of years as he could enter the elite stratosphere of the sport occupied by Woods, Nicklaus and a few others, and he's doing it at a time when the Tour seemed to have entered a state of lasting parity that would not allow an individual golfer to do what Scheffler is accomplishing.
