I just read that off of a draftdaddy link, I just hate these self hating white idiot's who worship and glorify the black athlete at all times, no exceptions. This little self hating wimp would NEVER question michigan if they brought in "the next vince young" terrell pryer (dont know if I have the spelling right, lol) because, as we WELL know, below average in terms of intelligence blacks just dont make good quarterbacks. Warren Moon and Donovan McNabb are the only exceptions to this rule, but that should NOT hinder an intelligent and arrurate black quarterback who displays this on the field. Mcguffie has blazing speed, great hands and decent size, for the college level, thats the protoype, who gives a f**k what color he is. This double standard is so unfair.

I also read on an ohio state forum, BCL's complaining that OSU should not recruit white wide receivers, that hartline is a "MAC" talent, at best, and a REAL programm like LSU or USC has no white receivers, and that is somehow proof that black receivers are better. Well, we all know that black receivers are better.....at dropping balls, running the wrong route's, complaining about not "gettin' da rock" enough, etc...lol

McGuffie is up to 195lbs now from what I see which is decent weight for the position. He has plenty of time to bulk up to 215 if need be.

I dont think he is that heavy, and if you look at his hands, he is a medium framed guy at around 5-11, so I think 215 would be to heavy for him, he would lose his a bit of his speed. I would estamate him to be around 188-190 now, and 195 - 198 would be ideal to enter the draft. That's the same size as chris johnson from the titans, so if thats good enough for johnson, it SHOULD be good enough for McGuffie.

I hate to tell that guy but Chris Perry and Anthony Thomas were both horrible NFL players. Meanwhile Mike Hart is anything but fast (4.85 forty) and will most likely not last in the NFL. The only position players from Michigan that have had good careers are mostly the QBs Brady, Griese, Gerbeck, Harbough.

Chris Perry is a starting RB. How about Braylon Edwards, Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, Amani Toomer, Tyrone Weatley, Anthony Carter, Derrick Alexander?

Actually Hart runs a 4.67, but yeah that is still quite slow, especially for a 5'9 guy.

Guys like that Homer, who made that racist post are exactly why the caste system exists. All that matters to him is that Sam is white and he just doesn't "fit in". As soon as he makes a few mistakes, he is already out as an acceptable player in his mind. Many of the stupid fans probably already made their mind up on Sam after his first game where he ran 8 times for 8 yards, but had "zero" blocking, even though he juked a guy out of his pants on his 23 yard catch.

the worst thing is both Tommy Vardell and Luke Staley were superior college RB than Thomas and Perry, even though Perry also won the Doak Walker. What's wrong with that? If that sucker is really a michigan fan, he should care less about what they do in the pros and more about what they can do for his team.

It took him five season to become a starter and last week Perry averaged under three yards per carry. Perry will probably last no more then three seasons. Sorry non of those Michigan players impress me.

patriot,

the important thing is they all got the opportunity at the next level. if it's good for the goose, it should be good for the gander.

My prediction is Mcguffie Has better size then Hart and Better speed then Perry. I think He will be a much better NFL player then any of those guys. He could be another Tiki Barber.

Braylon Edwards is a bust? Not on my fantasy football team! Desmond Howard was one of the best kickoff return guys ever. Woodson was a good pro corner for a while, and the others serviceable pros. Hall-of-famers? No, but horrible players? No.

As a Giant Wheatley made Ron Dayne look like Csonka, He was okay as a Raiduh for a couple of years. Desmond Howard is a bust he was drafted number 6 overall? You don't draft kick return specialist in the first round. Toomer was never thought as more than a serviceable pro, same with Alexander. AC should be a hall of famer if they include his USFL stats. Edwards the story hasn't been told yet.Edited by: white is right

Even as a die hard Ohio St. fan I have to second that.

My guess is that Sam will only see about half the carries or less this game. Several fans on the Scout.com message boards were complaining about Sam's "overuse" being a freshman. This probably echoes the sentiments of most Michigan fans.

Still, expect some big plays from Sam this week anyway.
Sam looked last game to start to be getting the feel for the speed of the college game and had one big run. Michael Shaw will see some carries (he has been doing very well unfortunately) as will probably at least one of the returning other guys..Carlos Brown, Kevin Grady or Brandon Minor.

Some dumb fans on the Michigan Message boards were hyping Minor, saying he should start. Minor runs a 4.7-4.75 40 if I recall and is not a typical spread RB, but he does have that thing called black privilege.

Lets see how Sam does this week. I don't want to see Shaw pass him on the depth chart already, when it should be too early for the coach to make that decision. Sam is going to need a big week this week, but I say he comes through. I can't believe I'm hoping for Michigan over Notre Dame.

Todays announcer...

It looks like [McGuffie] grew up eating airline food.

at the time, Sam was leading the team in rushing and receiving for the season. Edited by: C Darwin

Sam has 128 rushing yards in the first half.

EDIT: Totally not the right number. Maybe 128 total yards. Not sure what I was looking at.Edited by: PhillyBirds

Sam has looked great!!!!! I am so pleased. He started looking impressive in the 2nd game, but has been a phenom today. He has made something out of nothing about 4 or 5 times. Did you see the play where he burst into the open field, got knocked into his own man and stayed on his feet to score a TD? Incredible!

So much for all the Michigan fans hating on McGuffie on the blackpowerrivals.com message boards. What Michigan should really do is make either Grady or Minor the FB, both are good blockers and powerful runners. Michigan barley uses the FB anyway though.

According to Michigan fans Minor was complaining about his role on the team, I'm sorry, but Sam is their best RB, I guess Minor doesn't like being second to a white boy. Either Minor or Grady should get 2 or 3 power carries and Shaw should get an offensive series and a change of pace carry or two a game. Sam should see most of the work this season and has earned the right so far to have at least 2/3s of the carries this season. Sam has shown flashes this game of Heisman type ability!
