I guess the Saints are my team this year. Can't freakin' believe it. I have ALWAYS disliked them.
Here is another perfect caste article about their defense. Titled, Saints Defense Stands up to Criticism.

Now, I wonder why anyone would criticize their defense?

they WOULD be a team to follow if it wasn't for their treatment of Hass (sick!) and Lyman...

Peter King (SI.com) grudgingly gave the Saints linebacking corp. some respect, though it was tendered with the following:

"I'll tell you the one thing I noticed about the football side of it: The Saints were smart to deal Donte' Stallworth to Philadelphia. Not that Stallworth isn't good; he is. But in getting a fourth-round pick for a guy they weren't going to re-sign (which turns into a third if the Eagles sign Stallworth to a contract extension this year), the Saints also added a very useful piece, middle linebacker Mark Simoneau."

"He was a backup in Philly, but he has all the value of Harry Carson to these Saints. Add two rough-and-tumble, gap-plugging overachievers acquired from Dallas, Scott Shanle (for a seventh-round pick in August) and Scott Fujita (in free agency this offseason), and the linebacking corps has gone from one of the worst in the league to respectable."

Respectable. Thats all you get after you punked the vaunted Mike Vick all night long. If there were 3 black LB's there would be no end to the accolades.

I never liked the Saints and never will. I even dislike them more now because of what they did to Hass and Lyman.

BTW, you guess the Saints are your team this year? Lol? Just pick one team and stick with it.

Three White linebackers playing well is enough to do it. Can't have that now can we.

Also, I admitted in a post the other day that I was wrong in hating them. I guess I just disliked them for so long, I thought the team would never see "the White of day" again.

Found this racist soundbite at a major fantasy football site:

Michael Vick can't pass, as we know. If Vick could pass, they would not be running the college rinky-dink offense. Teams are going to catch up with that, and they did after two games. When you have three Caucasians playing LB, as the Saints did Monday night, and you're shut down, something's wrong.

what if those Caucasians are Keith Brooking, Brian Urlacher and, say, AJ Hawk?

people are idiots sometimes... and you can easily turn the table on this guy by basically saying that when you have a black quarterback playing it's no wonder you get shut down...

Isn't it amazing that the lovable Saints are off to this miracle start? Almost like someone was writing a script somewhere, to make the survivors of Katrina feel good about themselves again. Kind of like 2001, when the Patriots suprised everyone by winning the Super Bowl. A team called the Patriots winning the Super Bowl after 911 was ironic, right? Or was that scripted, too? It's nice that they have white linebackers, but the Saints still egregiously discriminated against white WRs Mike Hass and Chase Lyman. Now if they'd ever allow a majority white team again, and fix it for them, then maybe I'd start rooting for anything other than my fantasy football players.

well patriots had nice little dynasty going, so 9.11 was probably just a coincidence. and Saints will have their normal regular season melt-down closer to playoffs.
i don't buy into conspiracy theories.

It doesn't hurt to have a white quarterback in Drew Bress either

I know they didn't treat Hass or Lyman fairly, but it isn't like there are other teams out there knocking down Caste doors. So I will root for this team just because there is no better option, except maybe Carolina or New England

Pretty much, I think that's how I became a Raiders fan.

When every team is anti-white does it really matter who cheer for?

If I stuck to one team I'd still like the Raiders, as I did growing up, or the Redskins. There's no fun in that. So, now I watch and root for individual guys, Chris Cooley, Archuleta, etc. But if I find a team with even a semblance of white players, I am certainly going to pull for them.
Problem is, I truly enjoy watching football. Always have. But when Georgia plays Florida, or pretty much any team in the SEC plays, that has no appeal to me at all. But when the Saints with their three LBs and white QB play Atlanta with The Anointed One that gets fun to watch. And you've got to pull for them.

SO, we'll see how the season progresses but in these dire times, you've got to change allegiances and go with the teams that "look like America".

I always find it funny that people say other sports can't draw Hispanics or black fans because there are not enough players that represent them. So, they actively recruit Mexicans in basketball or blacks in baseball whatever, but noone ever says the same with about football and their lack of whites. Yet the NFL is losing its appeal to me each and every week. And one day there will so few white players I won't even bother. But for now...GO SAINTS!

The Browns minus their record are a good team to root for(mine personally). Brian Russell and Matt Stewart on D and a Joe Jurevious on O.
