The number of beer commercials was insulting. The violin playing beaver was the best imo.

The commercials didn't seem to be as offensive as past years. I didn't notice any naked White men (though there were quite a few running around in their underwear) or any White men getting kicked in the crotch, among other annual staples. Some even poked fun at the emasculated state of White men to make their sales pitch.

One thing I've noticed about the over-hyped Garcon is that he always thinks he is open and is often waving for the ball. One of the most crucial plays was Garcon's pass interference in the End Zone when he was clearly covered like a blanket and waving for the ball. Peyton made the mistake of trusting his reciever that always screams for the ball. Big play.

I am happy for all the white players on the Saints. Especially Shockey who had some nice catches and a TD. I bet he feels the gorilla is off his back, now that he has a championship ring on his finger. It was great looking at all the white players with their white wives and white kids after the game. Great moment for Brees and F.U. to all the experts who tried to trash him in the beginning of his career.

It seemed toward the end of the 3rd quater / beginning of the 4th all the affelets were getting tired on the Colts defense. Saints O justed started to grind on them.

That's for sure. Brees was completely written off as a viable starting NFL QB by the know-nothing "experts" and their applauding trained seals (DWFs).

Not a bad box score for Clark and Collie. And at least a black coach did not win.

D. Clark 7 86 0 27
A. Collie 6 66 0 40
P. Garcon 5 66 1 19
J. Addai 7 58 0 17
R. Wayne 5 46 0 14
D. Brown 1 11 0 11

Like everyone here has stated or implied, great win for our guys on the Saints. Manning should in the off season send a bird to whisper in the GM's ear. More white players on defense and 86 Wayne. I see them making another run at the SB next year if they "ighten" up the defense.

Now, all of my attention will be focused on Toby Gerhart's combine. If he runs a 4.45 to 4.48 forty I am going to love the experts say "yeah, he had a "good" forty time, but speed is not everything, he lacks in cutback ability, and innate affeletism to be a feature back." Horsesh*t!!!

Good points on several plays that changed the momentum, but I felt that the 3-and-out at the end of the 1st half sort of changed things around. After stuffing the Saints on 4th down, and with almost 2 minutes to go, it was supposed to be Peyton Manning time, to get a quick score and pretty much put the game out of reach at 17-3. Instead they play it conservatively, the Saints get a FG to close the halftime, and then carry that momentum with the recovered on-side kick and eventual TD.

All in all, a good game by caste standards and plenty of white players on NO who made solid plays, and of course Brees is now on-par with all the top QBs in the league.

The hype around Caldwell would have been TREMENDOUS had the Colts won. I wasn't aware going into the game that he would have been the first rookie coach to win the Super Bowl. The first rookie coach to win, a black? Every coach hired for the next ten years would have to be black if the Colts had won! lol

The dropped passes and a couple of errant throws by Manning were integral to the Saints' win, imo. I felt there were a few interference penalties on the Saints D that I thought were not called, but the outcome of the game was not determined by them.

I am happy for Brees, other than that?

I am hoping that the mockery of the emasculated American male in the commercials indicates some kind of changing of the zeitgeist or something. They used to be subtle and it was just 'accepted' that this was the norm. Now the mockery of the men that used to star in those commercials are being mocked. It's hard to explain but I see a difference in how people will perceive these commercials.

Caldwell would not have been the first rookie coach to win a Super Bowl if Indy had won. Don McCafferty was a first-year coach when the Baltimore Colts beat Dallas in Super Bowl V. McCafferty had been a long-time assistant when he replaced Don Shula in 1970 after Shula bolted to Miami.

are you talking about Dwight Freeney?

the guy had a severe ankle sprain and he manned up and tried his best to play in this game. thats something you don't see much these days and he should be commended for it.

Yes I agree I remember when Freeney was drafted he was trim and undersized for an end. Now it looks like he has been hitting Indy's finest independent rib joints and asking for a double portion of ribs....

Reggie Wayne did NOT get it done. Did you notice on that pix 6 that he didn't even try to chase down the db? He was lollygagging on routes and dropping balls all night. Probably pouting cuz he won't gettin da ball.

Did not know that. I was going by what they announced during the game.

A pleasure to watch these two fine classy White quarterbacks, also enjoyed Bree's comments after the game,in my mind, the game itself did not matter,it was the way that our fine White players performed.

Super Bowl 44:
Well, being a South FL local, I'm kind of glad the circus will be leaving town this week. Seems as if every B list celebrity, wanna be, hustler, hooker, dealer, quack and shyster was in town this past week.
Roads a mess with tourist traffic and limos, vans, etc. I've heard from reliable sources that flocks of people magazine wanna be celebrity females have been trying to get at players. The groupies from all over the world are here. So finally the Hype Bowl is over.

The Actual Game:
First off, as someone mentioned, the lack of fundamentals was surprising. Indicative that overall skills have been on the downside for well over a decade. The castified scouts, coaches, media tend to salivate at the 'atheltic' side of things. Actual football playing fundamentals are secondary. It was evident this whole year and in this game. Not to nitpick, but - drop balls, missed tackles, no one could really run block it seemed.

Not exactly disappointed that N.O. won it. We just have to hear about the city coming back and overcoming, just like the team, how much the Saints mean to the city, etc. Yawn. The media desire for the human interest story and to try to sell sports as bigger then life. No, it is just a sport.
Brees played an amazing game and Manning will take the blame for the pick 6. On that play, they used Collie as the mid field decoy (he was open) and Manning telegraphed the out to Wayne. Porter sat on it, jumped at the right time and made a damn solid play. Wayne had passive body position and didn't try and box out the DB, Manning's out throw was too far in and that was it.
Game, set and match.

Also, even when they got down inside the 5 late and still would've needed the onside kick, poor decision making and execution did them in.
I thought they got away from the running game too quickly in the 2nd half. Perhaps relying on Manning too much. That last 4th down pass to Wayne went right through his hands because he was already cringing from the hit Shanle was about to deliver.

Saints made plays when they had to. They are a deserving Champion and beat all the best QBs this past year.
And one of the talking heads made the point we have to agree with: Saints realized they had to go out and make plays and take chances to beat Indy. They did so and executed them.
The onside kick was something most chicken coaches would never do. Reis must have felt the pain down in that scrum...seemed as if that pile went on forever.

Saints play D until the 'echo of the whistle'. Aggressive bunch who like to wear you down. You can move the ball on them a bit, but you get the feeling one pays for it in pain.

Colts played well let me add. They just didn't do enough in the 2nd half.
Glad for the Saints. The Colts need to get more balance and really lighten the Defense with some guys that have skills and leadership.

Well, at least the black coach of the Colts doesn't get a super bowl win under his belt. This means he'll only get a three year pass instead of five if he'd won.

As soon as Manning walks away, it'll be only a matter of time until the Colts fade back into the pack. Caldwell is clueless as can easily be seen by the vacant expression on his face. Manning and the offensive coodinator never include him in their planning on the sideline.

Caldwell is nothing more than another affirmative action hire. Imagine if the Colts won. The media would be ranting on and on about how another black coach won a SuperBowl.

They were bashing Caldwell's coaching today on ESPN so that is good. Plus they also bashed Wayne for half assing it the entire game and he was blamed for the interception, not Manning, "Wayne didn't get of scrimmage fast enough or get out of his break and made it easy for the db to jump the route". One guy even said "at some point you gotta take Wayne off the field and let Collie take the reins"Edited by: dwid

There was one commercial that disgusted everybody that I was watching the game with at the Super Bowl party at my church last night. It was that stupid "Green Police" commercial with American citizens getting cited, ticketed and pulled over for various enviromental infractions such as drinking coffee out of a styrofoam cup. Not a one of us laughed because we could easily see all that kinda stuff happening in the near future. I also pointed out to everybody by the 3rd quarter that White men were continually being attacked in these commercials and constantly being made fun of and I got several nods in agreement and think a light bulb went off in a few heads. It's good to watch these big sporting events in groups or with company over so you can steer the conversation in certain directions and help people to think about things instead of just blindly absorbing all this crapola.

Well, I'm in agreement: basically a pretty good result from a CF perspective

another white mvp
another white qb picking apart a black defense
another white TE hero
another winning white coach
