I forgot to mention something in my post above. Steve Sailer writes that sportswriters tend to be slavish followers of the liberal party line in matters of race, with no chance that they would write about discrimination against white athletes. This is my own observation over many decades. Sportwriters are more liberal than their colleagues in the "news" pages, which takes some doing.
