A very intriguing case here. He gets no where near the coverage that the obviously black and colored Hispanics get. Think Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Soriano, Renteria, Vlad Guerrero and many more.
He is having a monster season and looks like a White hispanic to me. IF ANYTHING, he could be part Indian but not part black.

He looks like a Spaniard through and through. My understanding is that Puerto Rico has significantly more "genuine" White people, compared with the Dominican Republic.
One thing I like are White players' who hit for a solid batting average, have good instincts on the base paths and also play great defense.
