Okay there not all Russian but from Eastern Europe and tough as nails. These men have put fear in the hearts of foes and the jock sniffing press, they have upset the apple cart and put a dent in the caste system. The Klitschko Brothers, Lyakhovich, Povetkin, Valuev, Maskaev, Ibragimov, Krasniqi, Chageav, Virchis, Etc. These are the boxers but what about UFC/PRIDE fighters like the Emelainenko Brothers, Taktarov and Vouchanchyn [plus others]!!
They are not doing to bad in the World's Strongest Man contest either!! I think if 20 million had not died in WW2 and the Commie governments didn't keep them from turning pro we would have had more Russian Champs in the past. Ali, Frazier,Patterson, etc would have had to fight some real men and the history of boxing would be very different!!

Good point re Communism keeping them out of boxing. That would have had a big impact on all the affletes history.

Yes, professional boxing was illegal in the Soviet Union, and still is illegal in Cuba.
