I didn't follow pro wrestling but loved Piper as the protagonist in They Live. My young nephew wanted to see it and I had no idea what it was about when I went to the theater but it instantly became one of my all-time favorite movies and is even more relevant today (I remember thinking there would never be anything like the surveillance drones shown in the movie; how could any government be that totalitarian).
Piper along with Oliver Stone's son Sean was interviewed by Alex Jones a year or so ago, so he was at least somewhat aware of what's going on and willing to go public about it.
I didn't follow wrestling either, but I remember when I was a child in the early and mid 70's my father would take me to his parents home on Saturday morning's and my grandmother would watch Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and she believed every bit of it. That's when I first saw Ric Flair and he was my favorite and my father would watch a little WWE late in the late 70's and early 80's and took notice off Roddy Piper.
Wrestling, for me was just down right funny. Like when Piper took Cindy Lauper's music award and busted it over Capt. Lou Albano's head and kicked Lauper across the ring and power slammed Lauper's manager. Piper's Pit is hilarious!
Also, the Ric Flair interviews are classic. If you want a good laugh, check out some of Flair's interviews in the 70's and 80's. You can just google this stuff on you tube. I would do it on here, but I have difficult time putting them on the site.
Another good search is Stone Cold Steve Austin's confrontation with Mike Tyson. Everyone on CF should look this one up, you'd love it!
