Oscar nominated actor Robert Loggia passed away yesterday. Loggia's memorable movies include, Scarface, Big, and his Oscar nomination in Jagged Edge. He also had a part in An Officer and a Gentleman.

Also, was in the Sopranos. However, I've never seen the show so I'm not sure what part he played.

It happens in three's, so they say, Weiland two days ago, Loggia yesterday. Who's next?

RIP Mr Loggia. Carolina Speed. He played an old gangster let out of prison called Feech LaMana. It was the best character he ever played. Some of the best episodes of the famed Soprano series. Or you could to Youtube and fish out the scenes featuring him.

One of Robert Loggia's best performances was in the 1958 film, Cop Hater. He played a detective tracking down a cop killer. It's rarely shown on TV but is available on DVD.

Feech was a great character in a great show. About the only mobster who irked Tony who didn't end up getting whacked, out of apparent deference to his age. They devised a scheme to have his parole revoked in order to send him back to prison instead of offing him.

Loggia had a very powerful voice, which was intimidating when he played bad guys. RIP
