Undrafted free agent from ND has ended up starting games for the Warriors.

What a great story! I like college hoops a lot but have never even heard of him while playing at ND. I guess his NBA success to me is the equivalent of finding money in a washed pair of jeans.

The Warriors recently started 3 whites the other day: Belinelli, Kurz and Biedrins!

Nelson has always been fair (relatively) to whites with Dirk, Nash, LaFrentz, Bradley in Dallas and Chris Mullin and Marčiulionis in his first Warrior stint. I hope he will continue this trend with his current team.

Yeah, Kurz was always a generic name to me, too, at ND.

Nellie also brought in future analyst Tom Tolbert, who started some games as a 6-7 center in the Warrior's Run TMC days.

I pray Don Nelson can remain coach of Golden State for another 5 years, enough for Andris Biedrins, Marco Belinelli, and ROB KURZ to establish themselves as decent NBA players. No other NBA coach would give serious playing time to guys like these.

It's a shame Nelly is already very old.

Does anyone still remember Austin Croshere???

He was a player on the rise courtesy of Larry Bird, then came that racist Isiah Thomas, who all but ruined Austin's potential as an NBA star.

wow, so "unathletic" "no-talent" white guys can't play on some horrible teams but they can play under Don Nelson's teams which demand hot shooting, speed, athleticism, and all-around skills. Something doesn't compute.

Whats sad to me is that basketball was my first love, now I dont really give a care about the Negro Basketball Ass.

Of course! I enjoyed watching him play college ball at Providence since I was a fan of the Big East in those days. He seemed like he had the full repertoire of skills to at least be a starting NBA player. Now he rids the pine for the Milwaukee Bucks.
