Physical Specimen; A true Center. Baylor has screwed him. He isn't a "scrub" that's only capable of scoring 3 points per game... Programs like Drake, Butler, Northern Iowa, Montana or Creighton would have appreciated him.

I just learned about these two players today:

Sandi Marcius (Freshman) - Purdue Boilermakers

http://www.purduesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/marcius_sandi00.html

Patrick Bade (Freshman) - Purdue Boilermakers

http://www.purduesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/bade_patrick00.html

They join (Junior) Robbie Hummel at Purdue.

Roeland Schaftenaar (Senior) - Oregon State Beavers

http://www.osubeavers.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/schaftenaar_roeland00.html

Another Dutch giant; He has 2 brothers' which is awesome!

Angus Brandt (Freshman) - Oregon State Beavers

http://www.osubeavers.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/brandt_angus00.html

He also has 2 brothers.

There's (Freshman) Reeves Nelson at UCLA. I know about a few other White athletes, but I'm done listing players until the season starts chugging along. I hope people found the info in this thread to be useful.

I kept my eye on Schaftenaar for the past 2 years, and I'm quite disappointed. The OS Beavers have never been a powerhouse team, and yet have hardly given this guy serious playing time. He's one of those perimeter oriented Euro bigs who could have excelled better with more playing time (Beavers coach sure knows his stuff). It would've been nice if another solid White Dutchman could make it to the NBA (other than Rik Smits). I guess the waiting still continues.

With the college basketball season approaching, I really hope there are some white stars to get excited about and, of course, CF is the best place to get a line on the potential ones.

Player Rankings: Aldrich, Harangody big fish in deep pool of big men

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/story/12410458

Surprisingly, he has White athletes ranked #1 and #2... but his 11-40 is a complete sham.

NO Jon Leuer of Wisconsin.. (while I might agree that UWs "system" - with it's low-scoring - may not be conducive to producing many "stars" - Leuer should have been on the list.

NO Artsiom of Radford.. that's a glaring omission. Radford would be NOTHING without him!

If Coach K doesn't screw Miles Plumlee (who's also not on the list), he should perform well. He definitely has superior "physical gifts" compared to some of the others' that are on the list.
________________________________________________________________________

By staying in school, Harangody and Aldrich are being RECOGNIZED. If they can stay healthy, they will produce.

Rules for White ballers:

1 - Make a wise college choice
2 - Stay in school; Set school records
3 - Shock the world!

Miles Plumlee Shows Off His Vertical Leap

2009-10 Player profile and preview â€" Miles Plumlee

http://bluedevilnation.net/2009/10/2009-10-player-profile-and-preview-miles-plumlee

It true that he got less and less minutes last year, especially when the conference schedule started, but I don't buy for one second that it was because "Miles couldn't make the adjustment to the college level."

Seriously, Plumlee is so much more superior than Zoubek.

I plan to keep track on Aldrich and Harangody once the NCAA basketball season begins. They should continue to light it up against the brothers.

Here is a perfect example of whites being labeled as unathletic. Just read the bio for Joel Freeland who was picked in the 2006 NBA draft. http://www.nbadraft.net/players/joel-freeland

He combines European technique with American athleticism?  What the hell is that supposed to mean?  That European whites are less athletic than American blacks.?  That has to be the stupidest thing I ever read.

Rudy Fernandez has got hops, and newcomer Omri Casspi appears to be another athletic Euro. Andrea Bargnani is no stiff for a 7-footer. NBA Euro veterans Pau, and Dirk are incredibly athletic 7-footers.

"European technique with American athleticism?"

White-haters always come up with the lousiest reasons to degrade an outstanding white athlete.

Three white guys made the preseason first team All-American list today, Luke Harangody, Cole Aldrich and Kyle Singler with Harangody garnering the most votes.

I saw this as well guest301. It is nice to have the few guys we have (percentage-wise compared to what it should be) excelling at the highest levels. We may not increase the number of whites in the NBA greatly but if we can increase the number of white starters, all-stars, etc its a positive step.

I hope they all end up on the post season All-American team. My prediction is that barring injury, Harangody will get player of the year honors, he will certainly be the Big East player of the year.

Luka Mirkovic, Northwestern: He scored 15 points in their win over Northern Illinois.

Ruslan Pateev, Arizona State: 9 points and 9 boards. Yes, they thrashed a Western Illinois team, but I suspect that Ruslan (true frosh) did his damage in limited minutes. 5 of those rebounds were offensive.

Jon Leuer, Wisconsin: 19 points, 6 boards and 4 blocks in their win.

Kyryl Natyazhko, Arizona: 7 points and 7 boards in 23 minutes. This situation needs to be monitored, for he was only credited with 2 shot attempts. He was 5-6 from the FT line, but only 2 shot attempts in the box score is a disgrace.

If his Afroletic teammates are "freezing him out" - it's Kyryl that will be punished by the coach and he will hardly get minutes in PAC-10 play. He could have gotten a double double in his college debut... DAMN.

BTW, most blacks can't stand the idea of White forwards/centers for the simple reason that Whites are portrayed as a tiny people in sitcoms and movies. So when they see the reality, they just can't stomach it and they become furious. That's why it's crucial that these White bigs EXIST in the first place, and that they can continue to pass on their genetics.

It does tick me off that Whites are often-times yanked when they are on the verge of having a double double night.

Yeah, Ruslan Pateev got his 9 and 9 in only 21 minutes for Arizona State.

Artsiom, Radford: 20 points, 13 boards and 2 blocks in their win over Navy.

FYI, I'm not looking to "clutter" this thread, but I think it's important for people to know who's playing (and how they did in their debut), and know which athletes might get redshirted.

I will continue to post stats for the players that I'm following (if I think the stats are worth mentioning), so I won't post the stats for every game that they're in.

I have some good news to report!! Nikola Vucevic scored 18 points and had 8 rebounds for USC in their opening win over Cal-Riverside. He played 38 minutes, so he must be a starter!

Thank you, Derozan, for being one-and-done at USC!

Brennan Cougill had 8 points and 8 boards as Iowa won their 1st game of the season yesterday.

Reeves Nelson is looking good for UCLA, putting up excellent numbers in limited minutes.

Brendan Lane also got his 1st collegiate minutes yesterday (14 mins) for UCLA.

It's apparent that the PAC-10 is the number 1 conference for White athletes right now. Because of the "one-and-done" phenomenon (and there was a coaching change), it looks like USC is recruiting more White athletes.

Santa Clara's Marc Trasolini is a promising young forward. I believe I saw him play once last season. He shot a ridiculous 68.1% from the field last year! He's also rebounding and blocking shots...

Pacific's Sam Willard is having a break-out season so far as a junior.

i don't watch many of the high school basketball games that ESPN puts on, because they're inevitably poorly announced negro lovefests. yesterday's production was no different ... except for one small problem. the White kids dominated.

in a game that featured "the best high school player in the nation," North Carolina signeeand#1-rated player in the country small forward Harrison Barnes "going head-to-head" with Jereme Richardson, the 17th-best player and #3-rated small forward in the country, it was two White kids for Ames who stole the show.

Barnes put upimpressive numbers (26 points and 13 rebounds), but he had numerous bone-headed plays ... including a missed breakawaylay-up when the announcers were talking about what a terrific finisher he was on the fast break and losing the ball by dribbling it off his foot while the announcers were talking about howmuch his ball handling had improved.
smiley36.gif
you couldn't have planned it any better!
smiley36.gif

meanwhile, unheralded teammate Doug McDermott quietly went about efficiently destroying the opposition. he scored 25 points and snared 12 reboundswhile playingfewer minutes andtaking fewershots. oh, and he had fewer turnovers. AND he was named the player of the game. not bad for the 36th-best small forward in the country who hascommitted to lowly Northern Iowa (and whose other highest-profile offer was from Creighton).
smiley2.gif

perhaps even more "surprising" to the "experts" was the fact that the Ames coaching staff wouldn't let Barnes guard Richmond ... because he apparently can't play on-ball defense. instead, 6-8, 240-pound power forward James Kohler (a"nobody" as far as the recruiting expertsare concerned) did the job of shutting down the "phenomenal" afflete from Waukegan. Kohler held the "17th-best player in the country" to 14 points on 5-14 shooting.
smiley32.gif
and on offense, Kohler stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. that shouldn't be possible for a guy who isn't even considered a basketball prospect, wouldn't youthink?
smiley2.gif

Kohler, in fact, was a 3-star prospect at offensive tackle in football before eschewing the whole college athletics scene and deciding to pursue a future in medicine.

as we've said time and again, there are a lot of good White kids out there who only need an opportunity. but they rarely get one.

I 100% agree! JC is one of the most knowledgeable sporting minds I've ever come across. He makes many times more sense than the so-called experts of ESPN and Rivals.com!

Here's another guy we can add to the list. James Haarsma 6'7 230 Soph. SF for Evansville. He's averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds a game. He helped Evansville knock off number 22 Northern Iowa last night. I know he's not a huge star but he comes from my area and was a star at St Catherine's High School in Racine two years ago, so I thought I'd show him some love. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=300540339

I think this thread was really started at an "appropriate" time. Right now, there are bigs like Meyers Leonard (Illinois) that are physically huge.

Oregon State's Angus Brandt has a great physique. Daniel Miller and Nate Hicks at GA Tech (and Hicks was back on the court yesterday, after recently having had an appendectomy).

Vucevic at USC.. young Alex Kirk at New Mexico.. Jon Leuer and Nankivil finishing-out their Wisconsin careers. The Plumlee's and Ryan Kelly at Duke! Tyler Zeller at UNC. Portland's White bigs.

And there's more.. like Butler's bigs and Chandler Parsons.. and Notre Dame..
