RIP to pro wrestling legend Virgil Runnels aka Dusty Rhodes who passed away at age 69. I grew up watching "The American Dream" on Georgia Championship Wrestling & fondly recall his "feuds" with the 4 Horseman & Jim Cornette.

Rhodes was a Texas born & bred son of a plumber & star baseball player in his youth. He was also a 'booker' for WCW & a master of the 'promo'. I had the pleasure of (personally) seeing Dusty in & out of the ring (as he lived in my neck of the woods in the 80s - 90s). He was also part of one of my favorite tag teams..the Texas Outlaws (with D1ck Murdoch). His son Cody (now in the WWE as "Stardust") was a 2 time GA state HS wrestling champ & older son Dustin (aka Goldust) has also had a solid career in the ring. RIP to the "American Dream".
