Rick Short a white infielder for the Triple A affiliate of the
very weak hitting Washington Nationals is one of the most egregious
examples of the Caste system ever. The story of his hitting
prowess has been published in newspapers during the past week. He is 32
, and was in serious contention to be first minor leaguers to hit .400
in 42 years. His average was over .400 in early August and was at
.388 as of August 19. He won the batting crown in 2 of the
leagues he had played in the past 4 years and is close to winning
another batting title . The Nationals manager Tim Foli the
National's manager describes Short as one of the 5 best hitters he has
seen in his 25+ years in . If he were Dominican or Venezuelan he
would've had probably 10+ years in the Majors by now.. But he has only 3 Major League career at bats. He
continues to toil in the minors . I ask retorically what
else could account for this situation except blatant racism
against whites .</font></font>
