I have been reading about Ric Flair medical problems for a few days now and it sounds very serious. I don't know if there's many wrestling fans on this site, but for pure entertainment Ric was the best there was when I was watching wrestling and attending matches . My friends and I attended dozens of matches just to see Ric put on his show. He never failed to impress us with his wrestling skills and his gift of talking, man he could talk more junk in 5 minutes than anybody I have ever heard. He could wrestle for an hour and after it was over he acted like it was nothing at all. I hope for the best for him because he always gave you your money's worth and there is nobody like him around today. I saw where espn will do a 30 on30 on him November 7th.

Flair was definitely one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. He wasn't the best mat technician & didn't have the muscular physique, BUT he could work (bump & sell), had good ring presence, was solid gold on the mic & was a big draw + always "over" (whether heel or face). He had great runs with Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes (RIP), Ricky Steamboat & Hulk Hogan. He's certainly a "wrasslin" icon. Wooooo!

One thing I like about Ric Flair as opposed to, say, a Hulk Hogan type is the way Ric Flair will do ANYTHING to entertain the fans, even at his own expense. What I mean is that he will make himself look like a total dumbass in the ring and his opponent look like the greatest wrestler ever. He was great at "putting over" other wrestlers. He would flop around and make it really look like his opponent was kicking his ass. Without fail, even against jobbers, he would do the whole "hands and knees and beg off" "NOOOOOO!" schtick. Pure comedy.

Wrestlers like Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, or Goldberg would never do that sh**.

Flair was awesome at appearing human and mortal, to the point where random losers in public would try to punk on him. LOL to their detriment. Ric rude was similar in the way he would unfailingly draw a lot of heel heat, and make it extra satisfying when his babyface opponent would beat him half to death while he begged off and looked like a moron. Rude was actually a muscle-magazine physique-looking guy, so it was weird the way he would always get his ass kicked. When watching this stuff as a kid you tend to hate the Flairs and Rudes of the wrestling world and look up to Hogan and the Warrior, but as an adult you get to appreciate the likes of Flair, Rude, Scott Steiner, and other heels for making the faces look good.

Never understood Sting's gimmick, even though I thought he was okay. He was a surfer, then for whatever reason became The Crow, then The Joker? LOL

Ric Flair's ring entrance was the best entrance of any body who ever wrestle or boxed. It was to the theme of 2001 space odyssey and he played up for all it was worth. That alone was worth the price of admission.
