Strongman:

Team USA did great in some events, but got absolutely crushed in the squat. Team USA didn't do too well in the log-lift either.

Team USA finished 2nd, behind Team Ukraine. Studying the different strengths and weaknesses of various Euro people is certainly quite interesting.

Andrus Murumets, of Estonia, wins IFSA Finland Grand Prix

He is a beast. He is strong as hell and mobile as hell.

If he works on the few weaknesses that he has, WATCH OUT!!

As you can tell, he is one of my favorite Strong Man.

Stefan Solvi, of Iceland, is also one of my favorite Strong Man.

Check out this strength feat, he did it with seeming ease!

As big as mountains, the Eastern Euro and Baltic Man are.

Just an incredible skull and facial structure.

Yes, I have a point. Western Europeans need to toughen up, MAN-UP...

Now or Never.

Think of boxing.

Vasyl Virastyuk of the Ukraine wins the 2007 IFSA Strongman World Championships

http://www.ifsastrongman.com/news01

Misha Kokylaev of Russia was 2nd with 52.5 points. Misha was one of the guys I was rooting for to go all the way. He's an amazing powerlifter, with some mobility weaknesses.

Andrus Murumets of Estonia was the other guy I was rooting for. He did good, finishing 5th, but could have done better for sure. He is more mobile than Misha, but few can rival Misha's powerlifting prowess.

If he performed a bit better, he would have finished a solid 4th. Finishing 7th in the Yoke Walk is what really hurt him.

The event results--

I'm glad you like my posts.

Met-Rx WSM should be interesting. I like Mariusz because he is very charismatic.

I'm rooting for him -- or some Nordic -- to win it all.

This is a good sport for White families to gather around and watch, for it shatters all of the myths the MSM and TV push.Edited by: Deadlift

Mariusz did win the WSM contest this weekend [Ironmind.com]. I really like Mariusz but he needs to beat Virastyuk,Savickas and Kokylaev in a head to head contest. Still I am glad he won!!

I think Wenta actually came in second, while Terry Hollands of England came in third.

The best Strong men right now on Earth are Mariusz, Virastyuk, Savickas, Wenta, Muruments, Szczepanski and Kokylaev. I'd like to see them all in a real strong man contest. All come from Eastern Europe-Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Lithuiania.Edited by: Gary

They just completed the World Weightlifting Championships and SURPRISE,SURPRISE the SuperHeavyweight Champion is from Eastern Europe Viktors Scerbatihus from Latvia and second place went to Eveng Chigishev from Russia.
Let's not forget Fedor from Russia is the toughest man in the world or Wlad from the Ukriane is the best Heavyweight boxer in the World.

I would like to see that too.

I would pick Virastyuk to win it all.

Terry Hollands, one super-massive Brit!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM7V2eBqGoU

I hope he inspires other Brits to become strong and confident White Men.

His shoulders and arms are HUGE, and his quads are big and well-developed. Not many have the size and strength that he possesses.

One of the "rare" White Physical Specimens!

Big Z Wins Again!

http://www.ifsastrongman.com

Zydrunas Savickas takes his 6th straight Arnold Classic win this past weekend. With IFSA athletes taking the top 5 places, it was once again another year of IFSA proving its dominance in the world of strongman! Unfortunately, Vasyl Virastyuk of the Ukraine was unable to finish the competition due to an injury, otherwise it would have been a sweep of the first 6 places for IFSA strongman athletes.

I believe Benni Magnusson also broke the strongman deadlift record, doing over 1,000 lbs.

Big Z wins Serbia Grand Prix

Serbia's Ervin Katona finished 2nd

Estonia's Andrus Murumets finished 3rd

Latvia's Agris Kazelniks finished 4th

Iceland's Stefan Petursson finished 5th

Petursson is young and VERY athletic. I'm glad he placed well. He will certainly gain the overall strength that he needs in order to become a super-elite strongman.
