RIP Frank Thomas.
www.baseball-reference.com
Thomas was a three-time All-Star. His best years were before I was old enough to follow baseball. He played with the Pirates in the 1950s, hitting 30 home runs and driving in 102 in his first full season. He had 35 home runs and 109 RBIs in 1958.
He was by far the best offensive player on the 1962 New York Mets, with 34 home runs and 94 RBIs.
