Looks like he's running for Pres. in 2016. I've been a huge supporter from the moment i first heard about him running for Senate. I just had a feeling he would be President someday.

But his latest embrace of amnesty and pandering to Hispanics and ******** has me a little disappointed in him.

When he was first elected to the Senate he said parts of the Civil Rights Act should be repealed since the government shouldn't be able to tell a private business who they have to serve, etc. Then he said that we need to repeal citizenship for just being born on American soil.

Yet here he is supporting immigration 'reform'. I agree with 90% of what he says but this is my #1 issue.

Ultimately, he's the best politician out there with any chance of actually winning so I will vote for him if given the chance. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on him. Is he just pandering so he can get elected and then institute the real reforms we would all like to see once in office?

Nay! Mainly because of immigration "reform." he also backtracked his comments with regards to who private businesses could serve. And if he runs, he will also flip flop on the 14th amendment.

What he said.

Rand Paul seems especially dangerous. A guy who seems like he "gets" it and then never comes through. He is typical of current libertarians, coming down on all the wrong sides of libertarian issues and chickening out on the good stuff. Like his dad.

Nay, nay, a thousand times nay!

He supports amnesty and has said the drug war and prison system is "racist" against blacks. He just went to Howard University to pander and buck-dance for the blacks and plead with them to think of the GOP as the "civil rights party."

Paul is a very typical Republican - no better than Rubio, McCain or Grahamnesty.

Rand seems to have a habit of telling little lies. He claimed his Drone Filibuster was spontaneous when in fact he discussed it several days before the event with other Congressmen.

In a speech to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Attention attendees, please park your Taco Trucks in the designated areas...Su attencion por favor, parque su truques in los...) he claimed a landscaping co-worker earned $3 per day while young Rand earned $3 per hour. Total BS. If true Rand would not have had that job. But I guess the law of supply and demand didn't apply to budding libertarians with important fathers.

Nay...primarily because he's a compromiser on the illegal invasion. I suspect he'll compromise in other areas as well.

Isn't it amazing how a guy that should have the people at this site on his side has completely pissed it away? What is the demographic that is going to support him over another more effective hispandering Republican (Rubio).

Are we left with no one? The slide continues, whilist we motherf**k any and everyone. I just want 3 simple things. Closure of the borders. Repeal of Obamacare, which may implode on its self and a shrinking of the fedgov and its entities. Simple.

I once had an account on a Ron Paul site but was banned for saying Rand Paul was bad news while he was still running for senate. Nice to see I was right.

I'll say a very unenthusiastic yay.

I supported Rand during his run for Senate and even donated some money. I agree with everyone's sentiments on the immigration issue. The Republican (stupid party) pandering to Hispanics is nauseating. That being said if it's Rand or a pack of rabid Neo-cons in the primary, I'll support Rand. If it's Rand in the general against a radical Marxist Democrat (99.9% likely), I'll support Rand.

Of course, there will be better 3rd party candidates who'll more likely get my vote.

Yay! ................... Well, compared to the rest of the likely Republican field, yay, but that's not really saying a whole lot. Rand Paul is playing a clever political game with immigration. He's proposing what seems to be "reasonable", "middle of the road" reform that has no chance of ever becoming law. That way he keeps himself relevant in the debate, without painting a target on his chest for the media. He will end up loudly voting against the bill, claiming "gosh, Hispanic voters, I offered reforms that made a whole lot more sense, and addressed the real problem, but the Democrats just aren't willing to do anything on border security". A lot of people admit to being confused by his stance on immigration reform, and I think it's by design. Overall, I like him more than most of them, but he's probably too clever by half, as the saying goes.

I'll say yay. While he might not be his dad, he is certainly better than the other neo-cons he will be running against. I know a lot of people here are pessimists and don't see a whole lot of difference between the Republicans and Democrats. That may be true with some RINO's like Graham and McCain, but if it comes down to an election between Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton, I see stark differences between the two and I side with Rand on every one of them.

Rand Paul embraces Israel

(National Review) Rand Paul is describing an episode from his trip to Israel in January: “I went to a Shabbat,â€￾ he tells me, “it was the first time I’ve ever done that, and I had a wonderful time. I went to the yeshiva, and all the young men were singing and dancing, they had me dancing around the table. I hope I was singing something that was fine — it was all in Hebrew, so I had no idea what I was singing.â€￾

He's on the payroll, like the rest of them.

What kind of friggin' adult male goes to visit a foreign country and starts singing and dancing in a language he doesn't even know. How stupid does that sound. I cannot imagine any situation in which a mature adult would do that.

And what is it with these faux Christians? I was raised that "thou shalt not worship false idols" and what could be more false then the religion that turned their back on your savior? The idea of putting on one of those beanies was a sacrilege when they were teaching the gospel to me. How did that change? ANSWER: about the same time sodomy earned the "blessing" of the Lord?!?
