Read this nonsense about Jones: "An outstanding athlete who works hard in a variety of ways to make positive plays, the ability of Jones to play several different
positions is enticing. Did an outstanding job transitioning to receiver at
the Senior Bowl, and even looked efficient long snapping and fielding
kickoffs. His underdeveloped frame at over 240 pounds, combined with a
lack of quickness and outright speed, may all add up to Jones eventually
finding a home at tight end. Could start off as a slot receiver used in
third-down or goal-line situations and a prospect with a large degree of
upside for the next level."

"lack of quickness and outright speed" -- hilarious! He ran a 4.39! I guess a white guy has to run a 3.39 to have "outright speed." They even had him long snapping at the Combine. That'sbeen a long-running joke among some friends of mine ever since we found out that Chris Daniels, the record-setting white wide receiver at Purdue, had made an NFL roster -- as a beefed-up long snapper! Any time we wonder what happened tosome particularlytalented white receiver or running back, the standard answer is, "He musthave been converted toa long snapper!"

Only it's not funny. I just have this sick feeling that Jones is too athletic for his own good and willbe forced to be a tight endin the NFL.

That article is a bunch of horsefeathers! Whoever wrote that obviously has never seen Matt Jones play, and is obviously in need of a psychiatric evaluation! What a load. Underdeveloped? Maybe for the O-line! Lack of quickness and outright speed? Maybe compared to an F-16! What a bunch of hooey. Just when you think these guys can't get any more ridiculous or biased, BOOM, they go and top themselves!

Its really hard for me to be objective about Matt Jones. Being a die
hard razorback fan I can say the kid is cool as a cucumber. He often
brings a portable video game to play while the defense is on the
fiield. I know that when LSU was leading Arkansas by 24 points in one
game going into the end of the 4th quarter, a game for the SEC west
championship I believe, everbody was on pins and needles, except Jones
who calmly sit playing his hand held video game. He then went in and,
in a game known as the "miracle on Markam" (War Memoorial Stadium in
Little Rock is on Markham) he won the game, despire Arkansas being 24
points behind, in the final seconds! He also plays baseball, besides
basketball.

Anyway pro-jerseys with Jacksonville`s colors and Matt
Jones name, are going for 75 dollars in Arkansas stores, to steep for
my blood!

I'm not much on wearing jerseys, but I would wear one of his.
