Before the Klitschko fight i would have fancied Pulev's chances but that defeat may have left mental scars.Joshua has immense power mid range and that's where Pulev doesn't want to be but if Pulev can keep it long behind his nice jab and good in out movement then he can certainly frustrate Joshua.Really hopes he pulls off the upset.

I can see the future news stories:

What happened to Anthony Joshua?
He has never been the same again since the Klitschko fight. Three knockout losses in a row now - Pulev, Wilder, and now Helenius.

Yeah. I think that brutal second round KO by Pulev totally destroyed Joshua's self confidence.

I see Joshua TKO Pulev 10, sadly.

Wilder will never fight anyone dangerous. Even if Pulev should win, rematch Joshua and beat him again, Wilder wouldn't dream of fighting Joshua. Wilder will fight around every 12-18 months against fighters that don't pose a threat. Every once in awhile, just so he isn't called a fraud, he will sign to fight a semi-dangerous opponent only to have that opponent "test positive" for something and the fight will be called off. Then he will run his fat mouth about how they needed PEDs to beat him. Just forget Wilder.

Wilder is planning a rematch with Charley Zelinoff after the Stiverne "fight".

Kubrat Pulev, 17 October 2017:

Hello, friends!

I am aware that the news of my injury and the subsequent cancellation of the game between me and Anthony Joshua for the world title surprised you.

It wasn't easy for me to make that decision! I know, in my place, almost everyone would choose to get into the ring in Cardiff, despite everything and collect a few million.

Anyone else, but not me!

In my life and in my world, it's not all money. I've learned that a man goes into battle to win it. I understand that despite the vicissitudes of life, a man should not cheat on his beliefs.

Anthony Joshua has to defend world titles against a strong rival and I'm glad he already has one.

I'm still more thirsty for this battle, and I think it's only a matter of time. It is such challenges that make my heart beat hard and feel that I am truly alive. In a week's time, we tried everything to ozdravim the injury, but every thing needs its own.

I take it as a sign. If God decided, then that's how it was meant to be. Still, I will be myself and I will not betray my principles. A few million won't make me richer or happier.

My wealth is the undying love of the Bulgarian people, from whom I always buy strength and inspiration and that gives me the meaning of everything I do!

Thank you from the heart of all Bulgarians for faith and support! They mean a lot to me!

We're moving on!

Joshua - Takam. I didn't see the fight but almost everyone who did said it was a premature referee stoppage. I told you Pulev would have beat the bum.

Hearn thinks he is riding a cash cow in Joshua. Of course the ref was told to stop if it was close. I am not sold on him. He fades late. He will get KO'd by a fighter who has snap at the end.

Watched part of the fight. The Showtime crew did some blathering about the heavyweights being rejuvenated and Joshua's incandescent or something like that smile.

Al Bernstein did call the stoppage "bizarre."

I agree.

That sh*t was mailed in. Joshua was going to get the W no matter what. Corrupt.

Boxing is crooked everyplace, tho Las Vegas is, of course, the worst, by far. Pulev - rated by BoxRec 4th in the world vs. Takam who is 19th - would have beat Joshua, just as I said he would, tho the British ref might have dived in to save him.

My take on Joshua. He is Wilder 2.0. Wilder wasn't able to get any respect so they went to Joshua. He has this mystique of KO'ing everyone he faces (which is probably the reason for the suspect stoppage). They desperately want to feed the idiot fans their "new tyson". Joshua's days on top are very limited in my opinion. He has been exposed in multiple fights now. He very robotic and will get caught badly within his next 5 fights.

Joshua in no way is as big of a fraud as Wilder. I do agree his days are numbered but he was scheduled to fight Pulev before Pulev had to cancel due to injury and he did beat a (Very old) Wlad. Wilder wouldn't even talk about fighting fighters of that caliber. He said all along he would never fight in Russia and he never intended to fight Povetkin even after the fight was signed. He never even made the trip . Wilder is a complete and total fraud, fake champion that will never fight a real threat. Joshua is a just a guy that will be beaten shortly by someone better. But at least he has shown he is willing to fight top caliber fighters.
