Porter says he’ll "jaw" at White House

From Pittsburgh Post Gazette apparently Joey Porter is planning to talk trash to Bush when the Steelers visit the White House on June 2. While it is my opinion that there are several valid criticisms of President Bush, I have two immediate thoughts:

-Imagine if Porter were white, and was quoted "...Yeah, I got something to say to [Clinton], I'm going to have a swagger when I walk in there, too..." Do you think the limited press coverage would be so kind then???

-I always knew that Porter was a cur, but even if you thoroughly disagree with Bush, this is the height of low class. I remember during the Clinton aggression in Jugoslavia that criticism of the b*****d would "cheapen the office of the Presidency." Now it's considered humorous for a black thu...I mean "athlete" to behave in a far more insulting manner. [I wonder if he wants his tax money back from Clinton, or was it "put to good use" then???]

Anyway, my thoughts. A player can disagree with a president, even act cold and distant, but certain circumstances require a level of civility. Of course, to expect civility from "men" like Porter is assinine in the first place. He is just another stain on the name of the storied Pittsburgh Steeler franchise.

It should come as no surprise that the Pittsburgh media has annointed Porter as the successor to Jerome Bettis as the leader of the Super Bowl champs. Not Ben Roethlisberger or hard-working, tremendous talents like Alan Faneca or Jeff Hartings, but trash-talker deluxe Joey Porter, he who was shot in the ass outside a nightclub a few years ago. He is the player that the media will dutifully huddle around after every practice and game for quotes. And, like an African chieftain, Porter will maintain his role of team"leader" until he retires or is released.

I remember a pocketbook pro football preview that used to come out during the 1970's and early 80's. It would give a preview of each team and a thumbnail sketch of the top players.

Sometimes the preview would tell who was the team's most respected player. They would almost always name a black player as the "most respected player on the team." I've seen that ever since the 1960's.

We can only hope that he will make a fool of himself on camera, and hopefully most people will realize what he is. But, considering that most football fans (not us of course) don't care what fools their players are, as long as their team wins, I doubt it.

LOL....I can't stop laughing at the fact that someone put a bullet in his ass a few years back. This is the first time I heard about that. I'm just picturing him getting funky-fresh with someone else's girl in "da cluuuuub"... its hysterical. I can't help it.

There is no greater way of dealing with all of this buffoonery than to change the chanel. Imagine, click, the clown is gone. Women are very good at this from what I've seen. Clowns start their chattering and click-gone.

If Porter really wanted to make a stand towards Bush he would not attend the White House ceremony at all. I'll have to admit I'm a critic of Bush but by the White House inviting and the key word is inviting the team to be THEIR guests it is rude and childish for Porter to talk "trash". Imagine someone inviting you over their house for dinner and a party. If you don't like the person you don't show up its as simple as that. You don't go to their place and insult them when they're trying to be nice.

Most blacks don't care for this kind of rationale, nor do they understand it. Have you ever had a verbal argument or disagreement with a black? It's like talking to a retard. 99% of them don't listen to a word you say, they just talk over you until you shut up first or they eventually assault you physically. Similar to the way two children would go about it. If that coach of theirs had any balls at all, he would tell this clown to either not embarrass him on the trip, or, if he can't behave himself, simply stay home.

this is seldom discussed issue with regards to Blacks and their lack of ability to grasp logical arguments. With an avg IQ of 85, it equates to a mental age of 11.

I assume this to be an AVG 11 year old , so it is hard to relate.

I'm not a Bush supporter, but you have to respect his office and title. If you want to not support his war effort , tell him so constructively or boycott the ceremony. A granstanding display demeans your cause.......

The idiot-thug was arrested in Vegas for punching Bengals o-lineman Levi Jones at a blackjack table:

You would have had to live in this area to believe how much the white sports reporters sucked up to Porter last year when they annointed him the Steelers' "leader." The guy is aloudmouth gangsta clown, just the type the white establishment believes should be leading NFL teams.

And it's not just the local media either. Sports Illustrated featured the over-rated, over the hillPorter on its cover last fall, touting him as "the NFL's toughest player." And just a few days ago, before Porter's arrest, SI's Michael Silver
smiley8.gif
wrote this ode to Porter, claiming that he is going to "humiliate" the Steelers for not re-signing him. Yeah, right.

Porter lived in the North Hills section of Pittsburgh, and owned Pit bulls. One of the dogs attacked and killed a minature horse owned by a neighbor, and their was another incident that the media quickly covered up!
The Pit bull is very popular with inner city blacks, and has been called "a weapon of choice"!

No offence to the current excellent poster who calls himself Pit Bull..

but I think all Pit bulls should be put in a zoo with the rest of the wild animals because that's all they are good for and absolutely NONE of them can be trusted around a child. Hundreds of stories that I have seen in my lifetime attest brutally to that fact. So if you currently own one...you are living with a time bomb waiting to go off. Joey Porter belongs in a cage with them.Edited by: guest301

I don't think all pits should be grouped into one category as I have owned one for 5 years and is very good with kids. Its the way you raise them. Pits were bred for fighting other dogs, and not as man eaters. Actually, they were bred to not be man aggressive for the safety of the dog handlers in the pit. The dogs that bit a human were usually put down immediately because of this reason. There have been attacks in the past but were mainly from letting them roam free and had owners that bred them to be ferocious towards people. Like in any arena, don't CASTE the pits.

...I knew I would get stories like this one when I posted my diatribe against Pit Bulls. I still don't like them and do not trust them. We have all heard the stories about pit bull owners who have owned a pit bull for ten years and they never had a incident and how sweet the dog was and then the dog would go off all the sudden for some unexplained reason. They have a instinct about them that can't be completely breeded and trained out of them. If it's worth the risk to you, that's your business. As long as Pit Bull owners are responsible and don't let them EVER roam free, I am alright with it.

To each his own. As for me I will always have pits as they are great for hog hunting and personal protection.

REDNOSE wrote "don't caste the pits". Guilty as charged! The pit bull is a blue-collar overachieving dog with a high-motor. The pit bull has sneaky speed and deceptive killing ability. The pit bull is suprisingly athletic with the talent to leap four foot fences in a single bound. A second day draft pick for sure.

I find this to be really humorous, considering that its a known fact that pitbulls (and other breeds) are more prone to attack blacks more frequently, than any other ethnic group. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the dog being able to sense blacks' higher levels of testosterone, or something to that effect. This no joke. My cousin had a rednose pit that used to sit quietly on the front steps of his building with him during the summer when we all would hang out as kids. People would walk by at random, and the dog would be fine. But every now and then, when blacks would pass by by, the dog would start to fidgit around a little, get kind of apprehensive, and sometimes even start barking. He didn't do this to all blacks, just some. But never to Whites or anyone else. See, even the dog got sick of them and their bad behavior, from living in the inner-city with them for all those years.

I know what you mean GF, my dog ONLY barks at the coloreds. Nixon is a really layed back dog, but when blacks come around he starts to growl. Maybe he can smell em?

More details on Joey Porter's posse's assault on Levi Jones, just days after the moron-thug signed with the Dolphins:

Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Levi Jones is still sporting a gash over his left eye from an altercation in a Las Vegas casino two weeks ago.

And he says ex-Steelers linebacker Joey Porter is not the only one to blame.

Jones told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he was jumped by six other men from behind before Porter hit him. Porter, now with the Miami Dolphins, was cited by police for misdemeanor battery and released. Police said the players, rivals on the field, exchanged trash talk at a casino blackjack table before the fracas.

Jones called it a "cowardly act," the Enquirer reported.

"[Porter] got my attention from the front and wouldn't get near me until the six guys jumped me from behind, [then] he took part," Jones told the Enquirer. "What started everything was the dude hit me from behind. From then on, I had to protect myself. I was attacked by seven guys. I don't know what man is going to withstand that, especially with an NFL player involved."

"It was like that, it was problematic for me and my family, especially when the true story wasn't out there," Jones told the newspaper. "The particulars about how everything went down, I mean, ESPN, all they wanted to report was Joey Porter hit me in the face."

Jones, who did not need stitches, would not say if he would file a civil suit, the Enquirer reported.

"We'll see how it plays out," he told the newspaper.
