Kevin Curtis has 3 for 94 halfway through the third quarter. The announcers of course aren't saying much about him, preferring to credit Bulger and his line, but would like to see the Rams win and Curtis begin to become nationally known like Stokley did with the Colts in the playoffs last season.

I second that notion. The game is now tied at 20 all.I
hope they can get him the ball more.Last week,Curtis had
99 yards receiving early in the game and was ignored
for the rest of the way.He is too fast for these guys
and is being covered by a linebacker alot.Get him the
ball and get out of the way.Marc Bulger is having a good
game but is under alot of pressure.I hope the Rams can
pull this one out.Kevin Curtis can be as good or better
than Stokley if given the chance!

White tight end Cam Cleeland just made the most magnificent clutch catch for a Rams touchdown. And the Saints gave him away for a song!

For shame, Jim Haslett and owner Tom Benson! Hurragh! for the Rams white receivers

If you can't catch you shouldn't be in the nfl these guys, jackson, robinson, engram, drop so many passes every season and just because they make a catch or two they are considered playmakers.

How about Kevin Curtis. He is starting to became a star
on this team.When I.Bruce retires,look out.They need to
keep him involved in the mean time.He should be doing
what Brandon Stokley does but it's not Kevins fault. They
don't throw him the ball enough.Hopefully after back to
back clutch games,he has opened their eyes!Go Rams.

If a white guy dropped the passes those black receivers do it would be sayonara whitey!

Thus another genetic advantage of being black---you can drop pass after pass and still be on the team, even a starter.

Jackson was not only dropping passes, in the first quarter he was making no attempt on his routes to even see if Hasselbeck was throwing to him. Or when Hasselbeck was scrambling, he wouldn't try to get open for him. Even Joe Theismann criticized him for it, but as soon as he made a catch he was instantly redeemed -- "He's in the game now, that just happens sometimes with guys."

Curtis went over 100 yards. Not as big a game as Holt, but he was Bulger's second option ahead of Bruce. Great to see.

I'm rooting for the Chargers in the game right now.Drew
Brees has had a fantastic year. They have home field and
hopefully will get it done.I'll bet they wish they had
Welker still after his td return last week for Miami. At
least they have one of the fastest guys in the nfl.Tim
Dwight will be pumped for tonights game.Don't be suprised
if he breaks one for a touchdown.I would like to see
San Diego use him on a few reverses or out patterns too.

cxt7 is on the mark. Blacks can be fumble fingers but are kept on
the team because of their ... eh, athleticism, right? A white player
dropping the ball like these overrated egomaniacs would find
himself in a different career - probably welcoming folks to Wal-Mart.
It's almost fun to hear the announcing struggle with any success by
a white player in a "black" position. The contortions, the bending
and twisting to rationalize or ignore is amazing.

Phil Simms is a perfect example of one of those announcers. His tactic is to ignore white players who make good plays. Jim Nantz is pretty good though. When Simms should have been saying some nice things and giving some background info on Jeb Putzier and Dallas Clark and Brandon Stokley but wasn't, Nantz would fill in the gap.

Just another day at the office for the Colts offense.I think they'll beat New England next week.

Stokley had an ordinary game, but both teams tight ends had real nice games.

Dallas Clark is alot faster than people give him credit
for.I think he is right there with Heap,Shockey,Witten,
and Gonzalez. He also has incredible ability to make
sharp cuts on his runs after the catch.Great game.

I feel bad for Marty Schottenheimer, he coached a fine year and then there's this miserable-luck wild-card game against the Jets.

He's still my hero for standing up to the maggot owner of the Washington Redskins. He's two games better than Joe Gibbs as a Redskin coach in their new stadium. And he's the best guy the Chargers have had since Don Coryell

Hopefully Marty will hang in there, re-sign Drew Brees and win a few playoff games next year. And for heaven's sake, bring back the Powder-blue Charger uniform!

The Chargers had the only majority white draft in '04. It's been great seeing Drew Brees excel when all the "experts" had written him off as a starting QB.

I wasn't sad to see Green Bay lose. Favre is an all-time great, but Mike Sherman ranks in the top five among head coaches when it comes to honoring the caste system. Only one white defensive player on the roster, no white WRs or FBs, only one rarely used white TE. Hope Sherman gets fired.

Anyone hear the announcers compare Stokley to Chrebet today? What
do you all think about this comparison? The announcer made it
seem positive and complimented Stokley's speed. Do you guys think
it was racially motivated against whites?

Simms said that right after I posted about Simms above on this thread. I thought it was both idiotic and racist. I pictured someone in the truck saying to him through his earpiece, "Ok now Phil, time to finally acknowledge Stokley. Go ahead and compare him to either Ricky Proehl or Wayne Chrebet. He's too short to be compared to Ed McCaffrey, so go with one of those two."

It was completely inappropriate and even sounded awkward. I'm glad Jim Nantz didn't dignify it with a response.

Some observations from the NFL today.Dallas Clark has got some moves. He looks more like a tailback.Did he ever play that position in his high school or college day?Jeb Putzier was mentioned as being a wideout in college and now he is a tight end.Hmm...sounds familiar. That's too bad because he has good speed.Terry,Jimmy and Howie were finally giving it to Randy Maas andJames Brown, well,at the beginning of the show he said Randy's behaviour didn't affect him because that's who Randy is,but by the end of the game he begrudgingly said that his behaviour was bad.He didn't mean it.In the NFC three of the four remaining teams have black starting quarterbacks.Go Rams.Under the circumstances this year I Think the Rams can do it and become the first 8-8 team in the Super Bowl history.Did you see Randy Maas and his big-afroed brothers? The Vikings are the epitome of thugery,is this the future of the NFL.Gasp!!!

cxt7, you are absolutely right about Favre and Strahan's breaking of Mark Gastineau's sack record. That was a despicable, inexcusable act of pandering. Brett may be "old school" in some ways, but curling into the fetal position rather than Strahan having to earn it will always be a blight on Favre's reputation.

First off,let me say,Go Rams. They can and will beat the
Over-hyped Falcons. They need to get someone like Adam
Archeletta to shadow Vick the whole game because he
rarely beats you with his arm.Mike Furrey was all over
the field on special teams against the Seahawks and was
awarded the game ball by Mike Martz. He had been inactive
for the last 8 weeks and is finally healthy. He can really
fly and hopefully he will be returning some kicks.I see
the thug vikings beating the thug eagles.McNabb gets more
publicity but Culpepper is a better qb overall.I predict
the Rams vs the Vikings in the NFC Title Game.As for
Moss, that display by the field goal post was the worst
display of sportsmanship ever! There was nothing funny
about it.Why doesn't the officials throw flags anymore?
That was absolutely tasteless. He is a total thug!!

Vikings vs. Packers: neither team is worth routing for. The viking players dumped the gatorade on Ted Catrell. I'm from Minnesota and know many people who have started routing against the Vikings. When will the rest of the fans wake-up and realize that there are no real Viking decendants on the team. Viking fans stop routing for purple shirts!

The thing about the Rams -Falcons is the Falcons have three guys on D. Keith Brooking is ace. Period. Patrick Kearny is amoung the quickest DE in NFL. And Matt Stewart is a good athlete. So I know Falcons and Vick hype machine and alland all but the above trio are excellent players.

I noticed that about the gatorade dumping on there black defensive coordinator, instead of there head coach, I think the vikings are the most disliked team in the nfl, I used to like c.hovan but it seems he has stopped trying and needs a change of scenery.

Great stuff, guys. Randy Moss is such a pig. Kudos
to Joe Buck for calling it a "disgusting act". We need
many more firm moral judgments like that. Not
since Tom Hammond told some black sprinters in
the Olympics to get "some dignity please" have I
heard a commentator scold black athletes for their
idiotic antics. Far too rare.

The Stokley/ Chrebet comparison is so typical. At
least he was compared to a player that's still playing,
as opposed to Al Michaels comparing Drew Bennett
to a player that played- what was it- 70 years ago?
But at least white WRs will get complimented for
their speed every once in a while. White RBs are
apparently the "hardest working" athletes on the
planet, but never, ever, ever have speed.

I also think that Dallas Clark looks like a power back.
Big and strong and fast, no doubt about it. I wonder
how many white linebackers in particular could've
been very imposing and effective power backs if they
were groomed at that position. They have far more
career opportunities right where they are, but it would
be interesting. And no surprise that Putzier was a
WR.
